Is Ngannou a future champ again?

No lol, Stipe took on what essentially is the best version of him, since he was undefeated I can't see how he puts up a better fight the 2nd time around knowing he almost died in the ring last time.
Francis was partying for a month and didn't train for the Stipe fight. Also, he was 285 vs. Stipe where against Blaydes and before he was low 250. Not saying Stipe wouldn't beat him but the Francis that fought Stipe isn't the best Francis, actually, he's the worst Francis ever seen if you've actually followed his career. He looked slow, sloppy, and out of shape.

We’ll see after Francis fights Cain summer 2019

He'll KO reem in a rematch and be given a title shot by the end of 2019

If it's against Stipe, he'll lose again and everything will be as it should be.

Vs DC, I think he wins. DC takes shots at heavyweight and he was lucky Stipe doesn't have KO power against anyone with a slight chin.

Francis can’t defend a single one of DC’s takedown so he would end up in a crusifix and get TKO:d in the first against DC.

its possible. DC will be gone soon and I'd still give ngannou a decent win chance against stipe, just needs to find that chin once.

If this happened, and assuming Cain is even running at just 70% then I see Cain absolutely dismantling Ngannou, Predator or not.

But DC is retiring soon. Ngannou's chances of beating Stipe in a rematch isn't that low as long as he doesn't go YOLO like he did in the first fight, people forget that he was strong on the cliche against Stipe in the first round and things changed after he gassed himself out. And other than those 2 Ngannou easily beats anyone else in the division. He would have beaten Lewis if he did not throw the match for money.

Never saw that, I was team Werdum.
I think it was during a facebook Q and A or something like that, I can vaguely remember watching it live. I think some fans were saying Werdum this Werdum that and he made that face.

Going in for takedowns isn't usually DCs plan A at heavyeeight though. He pushes forward trying to get the left overhook and throws the right. If that doesn't work he stays close and switches to underhook before trying to land a shot or two in the disengagement.

It's something heavyweights seem to never know how to deal with. Short guy running in reaching for the overhook (with hand open and fingers sticking out, too).

I don't think DC Vs Lewis counts for anything btw.

Maybe you're right, he might just go full TD mode. But I think he would more likely for his usual trick.

Disagree. stipe ran for his life in the first till ngannou gassed hard. a ngannou with controlled aggression is a much more dangerous opponent. even when ngannou was near death from gassing stipe could not get a finish.
he'll be the next champ imo.

Blaydes is 27, Volkov 30 but if you ignore those two then yes he is.......

Oh whoops...my bad. I was talking about Blaydes in another thread (TS was saying Blaydes should retire) and got them twisted. In any case, he is still young for HW and can improve. He hasn't had many fights and he is still learning. Haha Can't believe I was thinking Ngannou was 27. <Lmaoo>

Don't blame me, I'm working the graveyard shift and filling myself with coffee to stay awake. :P

Oh shut up. Francis was close to mid 260’s for stipe. He’s a little smaller now but only a little and he’s mid 250lbs which is a better weight

Bullshit he cut from 280 something to make the 265 weight limit. Wasn't Blaydes the next HW champion? The guy that was supposed to murder Stipe. lmao? Wasn't he this great wrestler. You can't take down a fresh Ngannou, sorry, it's just a fact. You have to wait till he gets tired, and he won't get tired when he's in shape unlike against Stipe. I swear Francis haters have only seen the Overeem, Stipe, and DL fights.

He's proved that knock out power is a thing. Nothing more. He's Tank Abbott without the humor...or gut.

Why not ? Still without a plethora of MMA, he's one of best heavyweights. "If" you are an elite fighter, shortcomings are worked on and you evolve .Ask Stipe after losing to Struve.Ask T- wood after Rory.Ask RDA after his ordinary start in UFC.

This is such an unforgiving game and baffled by the common sense that it shouldnt

The only thing this fight proved is that Ngannou is no longer scared to pull the trigger. Which honestly was his best asset besides power, pre-Stipe.

I think the experience of being gassed and dominated will stand him in good stead, but it remains to see how much progress his grappling and wrestling will make.
