He was only dominant because he cheated though. In more ways than one. He popped for steroids like 6 times, and then was using eye pokes to maintain range which played into his wing span. Cheating was at the core of his success, as soon as they changed the rules to stop him extending his fingers he struggled - OSP, Santos, Reyes. That’s not my opinion, that’s observation. I do get where you’re coming from, but look at it like this, if Jon retires tomorrow, and then a year down the line we hear that he’s been mixed up in some bullshit, he’s wrecked his car again drugged up. Would that be a suprise? No. Because he’s mentally weak and anything can set him on a spiral. No, but being a dominant champion does
GSP is the best ever IMO. I don't like Jones and I always hope he loses. I just don't think it's accurate to call him mentally weak.
I don’t think it makes a man mentally strong to beat up guys he knows he can. Taking on Aspinall would be a sign of mental strength. Lying is also a sign of mental weakness imo, which Jon does to himself and fans alike pretty much every day
You’re one of my favourite posters and I like that we can disagree and there be no animosity
