It seems as if the Division is finally catching up to him in terms of height and reach, when back in the day Rashad Evans was a fucking heavyweight. Bisping a light heavyweight, Wanderlei Silva at 145 in bellator! Kyoto Machida went from HW to middleweight. Guys like Gus and Dom who weren’t six inches shorter then him and could land a jab at the same distance Jon was landing standing elbows from have given him some trouble, Yuri, Rakic, Spann and Walker just took a little bit too long to be able to test the GOAT. Not saying they would win but their size alone makes it interesting. Yes i know Johnny Walker and Spann haven’t seemed like world beaters recently. This is what makes a 250 lb Jon Jones running 25MPH as a Heavyweight so intriguing, especially with HW finally seeming more skilled then just fat brawlers who forgot their BJJ (Ngannou is a special case for being super jacked and the one hitter quitters). I personally think Werdum was a horrible matchup for Jon. Jon obviously beats Stipe, but what if Jon finally develops power in more than elbows, knees and kicks and starts dropping fools? Also always has that JUCO and freestyle trips to fall back on, not to mention the reach to arm triangle 3 hookers at once and the unbelievable coke fueled will to probably beat Ngannou just because he wants too.
It may take TRT, Steroids, an unplanned abortion after being hit by his car, hookers, cocaine, alcohol, a USADA violation and a 5 year suspension, but Jon Jones can definitely beat Ngannou and defend that HW strap until he decides he doesn’t want too.
He also beats the everliving fuck out of Jan’s kneecap.

Not really. He’s just about as tall as you can be for a LHW, with a freakish reach, but he doesn’t really have a HW frame.

He didn’t cut huge weight. His reach, ‘strength’ (wink, wink) and height were just a nightmare for that particular cohort. In many ways he’s changed the body type needed to compete at an elite LHW level.

nah he's not a bully, but he never will have the balls to face hws, never ¡¡¡

Not a weight bully. He just had the perfect combination of reach, strength, and technique. Would he have success at HW? Absolutely, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have the perfect frame for LHW.

i have bad news, TS. Nobody will read your post completely, you wasted your time. Don't try to sound like you dont care because we all know the truth

better luck next time, bud

Jon Jones was never really over 225 as I recall.

Against Shogun and many of the others I recall he was 217lbs to 224lbs.

That why when they eliminate weight cutting LHW needs to be 205 to 235lb and HW 236lbs to 305lbs

The only thing the OP and title have in common, is Jon Jones.

Ts was just thinking on his keyboard and pressed enter.

There is no such thing as a weight bully.

Weight cutting is stupid, overall but it's the system we've got. If a fighter can make the weight for weigh ins and isn't a desiccated shell from cutting the weight, then fair play.

On the other hand, if he doesn't make weight for weigh ins or if he loses the fight because he's so drained, so be it.

There needs to be one kr two more weight classes between 155 and 205. It's crazy that a 50 pound spread between LW and LHW only contains 2 weight classes, given how it seems like there are so many fighters in the 150-180lb range. Which makes sense, that's probably really close to average weight of male athletes, in general.

There is no need for more weight classes as everyone is close together.

Basically all LW are between 165lbs to 175lbs on fight night

Basically all WW are between 178lbs to 195lbs

Basically all MWs are 195lb to 210lb

Basically all LHW are 210lb to 235lb

The correct proposal is the hydration tests 3x, and say before and day of weigh ins. Eliminiate weight cutting.

Divisions become

LW 155lb to 170lb
WW 171lb to 185lb
MW 186lb to 205lb
LHW 205lb to 235lb
HW 236lbs to 305lbs
