Not familiar with Murray at all. Never liked Hitchens, though he could put sentences together pretty well. And, yeah, he wasn't a grifter or a hack. Not that familiar with Harris. One of my closest friends was on his show, and he had good things to say about him. Seen some clips of Pakman, and he's OK. A bit too into whatever the pointless online bullshit of the day is, but he's a smart guy.

In what sense does he support left-wing policies? And which ones? Spreading propaganda against people who are trying to create more broadly shared prosperity isn't supporting left-wing policy.
 
It's interesting how so many right wingers on here rush to defend the honor of someone they claim is 'on the left', while the actual left wingers on here can't stand him. Maybe that will help inform your question TS.

Jimmy Dore is a tool, and at best a useful idiot for the right. He might literally be the dumbest person in the entire online political space perhaps only rivaled by Jesse Lee Peterson. That's not an easy feat.

He's angry and frustrated by imperfect allies who can't pass whatever purity test he makes up on the spot. So he sees them as enemies. When he attacks people on the left for not passing his purity test the right embraces him. They give him a platform, a pat on the head, maybe a cookie.

Outside of that he's just unwell. He seems obesessive, vindictive, paranoid, irrational, ideologically and morally inconsistent.

A few years ago I'd watch some of his videos, but over time it just felt like watching a man unravel. It felt gross and voyeristic.

Dunno, does he have any "right wing" positions, or is it just criticizing the people in power that automatically makes someone "right wing"?

If it's based entirely on who he's criticizing at the moment and can't point to any right wing positions he holds, then it's probably a you thing of just playing a team sport. Only positions of his that I'm aware of are universal healthcare, high minimum wage and in favor of unions, which aren't exactly right wing.

Its the opposite, Dore's criticisms of the Democrats are often that they are not left wing enough for his liking as a socialist so the fact that the Democrats spur people like Dore should tell you that if anything they are pushing back against the socialists on their left flank.
