If it's not impossible, you have to base your view on the evidence. Further, no one who follows politics believes the primary was fixed against Bernie. That's just something people say when they're looking for a rationalization for their hatred.

Douglas Murray is not very good IMO, I would go as far as to say that he is bigoted towards Muslims and foreigners in a way that I wouldn't say of Sam Harris who echoes some of his critiques of Islam.

He is less insane in the sense that he won't buy into completely baseless conspiracies which make the rounds on the right but I do think he's more obviously bigoted than either of those two and a bit dishonest to the point that I don't trust him. In fairness I don't have an example off the top of my head for you and I'm probably biased against him so take that with a grain of salt.

I think the CT mindset is a big part of today's right. So that's not a contradiction as much as an explanation. In the Aughts, there was a pretty even split among CTers, but these says, it's more like 95/5 on the right, though many rightist CTers weakly claim to still support leftist policy goals.
