I actually heard about this as hearsay when I was assigned to a different hospital, then I read about it in the Stars & Stripes. The killer when he was sentenced had a HUGE $hit-eatin' grin on his face.

(Not trying to start anything, but this is EXACTLY how he looked in the paper) He knew that no jury was going to give him the death penalty, so he was happy to spend the rest of his life in prison.

As for the woman, she was E.R.D'd (Early Return of Dependents) and that's the last I heard of it.
