No real issue. She had her debut in a new division and she busted her finger within the first few moments of the fight. She fought till the end and lost a decision. She doesn't train only with Pat and Colorado Wittman.

I'm not really sure if you're asking me what gym to train at. I think Trevor Whittman is doing a good job with her. I didn't like her moving up to a different division. She isn't huge for a strawwight. I didn't like her gameplan against Carla. She needs a different voice in her ear guiding her career at this point. I think she's still very talented and has some mileage left on the odometer.

She needs a coach who'll actually convince her to let go and actually fight. Not just how to throw technically and pitter patter her way to losses because her aggression to bite down on her mouthpiece and inflict greater damage than she takes isn't there. Her entire problem is how much she holds back and doesn't have fight in her.

It's a common problem with people trained by Wittman. There's a reason why Justin seems to have the best relationship with him as he already has that dawg in him and just needed someone to direct it skillwise. Skilled fighters like Rose and Usman meanwhile are struggling under him as he doesn't light a fire under their ass and can't understand that passion is part of fighting too.

It's a similar criticism I have for someone like Greg Jackson. Too cerebral hits a certain point in fighting, both in fighting and in war. You can have all the strategies in the world, but you still need somebody passionate enough to do it with everything they have for it to work. Which Greg has at least channeled sometimes such as his famous moments like telling GSP to strike with his torn groin after GSP complained about it or telling Condit this is war to get him to go out and KO Rory.

For some reason, Pat never told Rose to spam calf kicks, even though Manon had a welt the size of a lime on there. It's weird, because Pat is always focused on the minors details he could take advantage of.

Pat Barry turned Rose into a boyish image. She's a great fighter and has great human spirit, encompassing many great qualities. Pat almost seems to have a creepy bf/ trainer vibe similar to Diego Sanchez's ex trainer/partner. Then again, maybe Rose shaves her head to keep the heathen Sherdog hoard from using her image to shoot the white hot rope.
