It seems like it's not going to happen and with everything going on with Conor right now it feels like we won't get to see him fight for some time. You can hate on Conor all you want but you can't deny that it's always exciting when he fights

For comparison sake, the WWE hasn't had a big a star since Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson left. There might not be a big star like Conor for some time.

Khabib is shaping up to be a bigger star. If he beats Gaethje and then fights maybe Tony/GSP he could end up being the biggest MMA Athlete in terms of popularity.

You want another cowardly panic-athlete who is a coke head with multiple sexual assault allegations?

Uncle Goof can always create one.

He's not even close to being in the top 10 plus I doubt that Khamzat will be making waves globally like Conor did

Tough. He talked the talk and backed it up. Like a hybrid of Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva.

Of course it will happen at some point, nobody thought 5+ years ago (Before the Aldo fight) that Conor would become the star that he became, nobody thought that 18 months ago that Masvidal would breakout into a draw.
These things just happen naturally and organically and it takes time, the right person and the right circumstances for it all to happen.
Boxing has had draws and stars since it first started, MMA is no different in that aspect.

But will there be another to reach a similar level to what Conor did? I'm not so sure

There will always be another Conor, Ronda, etc. That is, talented fighters with an affinity for talking trash, who get hyped by the media as the greatest ever. It's fighters like Fedor/Anderson/GSP where you have to question how long it will be before we another one of them.

No. In the next 10,000 years, no combat sports athlete will ever reach the heights of Conor Mcgregor.

(If you believe that, you might be a moron)
