Is gen x the last great generation?

I am quite impressed wit Boomer thinking. The wars they fought, the companies they founded...
You are thinking of the Greatest Generation 1901-1927 births they fought in WW2 and korea they were before boomers there was also silent generation before boomers.boomers only fought in vietnam or not all in the 80s.

The ones that fought in wars, worked in factories , built this country's infrastructure, endured global economic depression and faced real pandemics. My vote goes for The Lost generation/greatest or silent.

I wouldn’t say we are the last great generation, because life is cyclical, and has been for generations…..

Gen X is in between the strong men and Good times. Millenials and the current Gens are between good times and weak men. So somewhere the next “Great Generation’ is on deck to take up the fight to perpetuate the cycle anew. Unfortunately, the Hard times that will create these new strong men usually involve Wars of significant outcomes.

You can almost set your clock to it.

Yeah people with differing ideologys have the exact opposite opinion of what this means. Boomers are the poster child for Good times create weak men. The younger Gen Z and older Gen Alpha are probably the strong men create good times but because of climate change itss not going to matter what they do they won't be able to create good times just slightly better ones.

Being an officer means you are not fighting?

While Gen X started the digital revolution, they are responsible for starting the social media scourge. I am ashamed.

1966 Gen X er checking in. I can’t say we’re special, but the 70s and 80s were an awesome era to grow up in.
greatest 2 decades for music. Sometimes I wish I was born earlier to really experience the teen years for the late 70s and early 80s but unfortunately I had to be a tadpole in 74

There’s too much handholding. I blame helicopter parenting and liberals for this demise
First of all, who do you think the helicopter parents are? They’re gen x. So they have only themselves to blame.
Second, of course you blame liberals. It’s super convenient that the political party you don’t like is somehow responsible for everything you don’t like.
But really this transcends political leanings. Both conservative and liberal parents from gen x became helicopter parents, too scared to let their kids grow up on their own a little like gen x got to.

And they all blame the “ever increasing crime rates.”

I have news for everyone: crime is nowhere near as bad as it was when I was growing up in the 90s. Not even fucking close. That is completely factual and backed up by crime rates if anyone bothers to look at the data.
