Is forcibly holding someone against a fence “dominating” them?

Not dominating them but you're controlling the fight; thus winning the fight (within the rules). Not very pleasing but it's part of the game.

Nah.. i don't know.. it's a bit like knowing you'll fight a guy after you both have a drink..

You're not sure which glass he will drink from so you put a roofie in both glasses.. both you and the other guy pass out and no damage was done but you claim victory because you initiated it..

Tank Abbott and Garry Goodridge say yes.

tank Abbott makes people take a nap so they can think it over when they wake up.

If someone holds you in any position and you can't do anything about it, you definitely feel dominated, they don't have to hit you or do anything else imo. Anyone who ever tried fighting a big brother or uncle, or an older kid should know, when someone can hold you in place against your will, you feel like a bitch

This is an underrated post.

Of course not. It’s the equivalent of throwing a jab and just holding in boxing like John Ruiz used to do.

he wasn’t dominating. He was taking the fight out of the fight. Stalling so there is as few encounters of exchanging or fighting as possible.
