The pressure on the neck is probably a neck crank, not a face crank.Face cranks also put heaps of pressure on the neck.
Not 100% sure, but it could have the force to break your neck.
I hate being in face cranks, also throat crushes, both feel quite dangerous.
I've been doing jiu jitsu for 12 years. Yes.Have you had one applied to you ?
See, forcing the chin into the throat is a variation of a choke, not a "crank"The pressure on the neck is probably a neck crank, not a face crank.
Face crank is more like shattering your jaw or pushing your jaw into your throat.
Both very painful, and can def do injury. Yeah, neck crank will hurt your spine, def need to tap.
Well, they don't exactly ask the guy after they tapped to it "did you tap because your jaw was dislocating or because you were choking on your own jaw".See, forcing the chin into the throat is a variation of a choke, not a "crank"
I think it's a symptom of people tucking their chin to defend the choke. People just started saying fuck it and cranking on it anyway.Well, they don't exactly ask the guy after they tapped to it "did you tap because your jaw was dislocating or because you were choking on your own jaw".

If you’ve withstood face cranks in your jiu jitsu class from a monster like DDP then more power to you.I've been doing jiu jitsu for 12 years. Yes.

In experience, face cranks often has a turning aspect to it, so it cranks the neck / spine quite a bit, depends how it's applied though.

Squeezing power isn't infinite. If a strangle isn't occurring there's no threat of incapacitation. People shouldn't be tapping to this. It's like tapping to a headlock.
The way I was taught to do it (which lines up with the Khabib vs Connor finish) is that you turn their chin to either shoulder and then fold their head into their own chest.
When done that way you get a wonderful combination of jaw crank, neck crank, and blood choke all at once.
I learned the finish as "your chin is not a defense, here's why" over a decade ago.
But that lesson came from Armenians, not Brazilians.
He’s just way stronger bro . His ability to push thru pain is stronger than even MMA champs . He has no limits to his toughness . As a matter of fact, Xhaydenxx should coach fighters and have seminars on how to not tap to pain compliance techniques like a bitch. He’s missing out on millions.Pain tolerance isn't infinite either.
Tapping to a neck crank is nothing like tapping to a headlock either haha. Well applied neck cranks hurt way way more, hence why people tap to those and not headlocks.
lol why else would elite fighters like Izzy, Shev and plenty others tap out to neck cranks if they knew they could just wait it out? They just thought "fuck it" and decided to give up the belt or something?

Bro in my day it was five hours.Wait didn't you have to do the test where you sit in a neck crank for three hours to be approved for a Sherdog account like I did?
