Is Drew Dober the People's champ?

but we all know exactly what he's going to do every outing.

Yeah, put on an awesome fight. How is that a bad thing?

I like watching fun fights. I don't really give a shit about belts and championships. I'm not getting PPV points. Give me fun fights.

Win, Lose, or Doctor Stoppage this guy always brings it.
How can you not like the guy? He's never been in a boring fight.
He's also well spoken on the microphone. When he retires, the UFC BETTER offer him a broadcast position.
He's better than Jouban. There I said it!
19 out of his 24 UFC fights have ended with either finishes or performance bonuses. Very impressive indeed

Dober has not evolved in a decade.

A hard hitting journeyman with a limited skill set. There is a place for that type of fighter, and I certainly don't mind watching his fights, but we all know exactly what he's going to do every outing.
This is how I feel. I respect his commitment to brawl and I'll watch his fights, but he's extremely limited as a fighter.

You kind of wonder what a guy like him spends all his time training? The same 5 things over and over again? Maybe be doesn't take his career all that seriously. The guy is a good enough athlete to at least show improvements. He's been doing MMA for 15 years. Minimally improved.

He would bring more personality and knowledge than most of the guys commentating

I find MMA fights are more fun and entertaining when the fighter is highly skilled.

Your mileage may vary.

Dober is a fun journeyman, great for midcard filler.

Exactly. The entire roster is obviously not gonna be top tier contenders. So give me fun action fighters.

Exciting fight and I appreciate Dober's efforts, but man Jean Silva. Is that dude really as good as he has looked over the last few weeks?

Don't think anyone here is calling him the GOAT. His skillset still made him hang around the top 15 for years with the right matchups. He's a fun fighter on top of that.

No TS, but he is a very Handsome Gatekeeper.

Brian Stann Jr, even has the same cartoon jaw
when he cuts weight, he looks a bit like viggo mortensen. with a wider jaw of course.
Dober should just change his nickname to The Crimson Chin at this point... outside of the Frevola fight it has withstood beating after beating. Some of the shots Silva cracked him with early last night would've dropped 9/10 guys in the division. Took Herb saving him from himself to end the fight. Bravo Dober.... Bravo.
what is his nickname now? “the doberman?”

Yes!
Jean Silva is definitely the real deal!
I predict he'll get a title shot at Featherweight sometime soon. Maybe a year from now. He comes from one of the best fight camps in MMA.
