Hes fighting Carlos Ulberg on September 27... its almost like who ever wins that fight deserves the next title shot, right?

Dominick Reyes with the comeback of the DECADE if he pulls off a fourth W in a row and gets a title shot.

In all honesty, a win over Ulberg on paper definitely puts Reyes in the title mix (can't believe I'm saying this in 2025) and I would see a victory here being followed by a match up against Khalil/Jiri loser and the winner getting the next shot after Jiri/Khalil winner.

If Reyes wins the belt in 2026 ill erect a statue of him in my bedroom

Rooting for Dom. To come back like he did from a series of defeats is honestly inspiring. If he beats Ulberg and makes it to another title shot, it would be nothing short of a miracle.
Right?! Frickin War Dom! takes some balls to comeback and win 3 in a row like he's done

Deservedly so, he's a guy I'll admit I completely counted out, thought he would punch himself drunk and retire after those violent, violent losses. Him getting KO'd by Jan and Jiri, whatever, Jan and Jiri are perennial greats, but I completely and totally wrote him off after he got KO'd via a jab against Ryan Spann

Going to be rooting for Dom to make one last run. Win or lose, guy deserves to go out against the best.

Yes.

It would be 4 wins in a row, with a very intuitive progression. He beat an unranked Jacoby, then #13 Smith, followed by #8 Krylov. If he now beats #3 Ulberg, that's certainly worthy of a title shot.

Part of the difficulty is reconciling the quality of his opponents. From a talent perspective, Smith had no business being top 15, Krylov shouldn't have been top 10, and Ulberg shouldn't sniff the top 5. But LHW is so awful that this is what we're left with.

That being said, I hope Dom gets his hands on a belt. He should already have his place in the record books at the first guy to truly beat Jones.

Depends on who wins between Alex and Ank.
Khalil vs Jiri looks like a title eliminator especially since it's on the same card as the aformentionned title fight.
If Ankalaev wins, I'm pretty confident the winner of that fight will fight him next. If Alex and Khalil win, I could see the UFC booking a rematch, but I doubt they do make a trilogy between Poatan and Jiri, but you never know.

They seem to be pushing Ulberg, I'd say he's getting a shot if he wins, not so sure about Reyes though he deserves hespect if he can get the win.

I would say yes and I'd be down for it bigtime, would be a hell of a comeback story. Think Ulberg takes him out though.

Crash Bandicoot as champion after being put out for 2 YEARS by Jiri?

would be the comeback of all comebacks

He beat Jones so he could beat Ulberg

I think Ulberg and one more. Depending on the landscape of LHW too.
