Just saw on Countdown, Cejudo is using a whole new coaching staff for this camp. He is not using his long time head coach (Eric). He also brought in his brother for this camp. It’ll be interesting to see what difference, if any, these new coaches have on Cejudo.

It was clear when he came back and fought Sterling that Cejudo hadn't been putting in the work during his time away.

The guy used to be able to go 5 rounds no problem, but then against Sterling he was puffed and shitty by round 3.

He's even older now and is likely putting in little effort. Meanwhile Merab is still hungry and fit as fuck.

Outside of some lucky shot, Cejudo has no chance.

Cejudo’s getting up there, for sure; but he’s not an average athlete. He’s a smart fighter too.

Merab had low output against Aldo. If Cejudo can neutralize his wrestling (seems quite possible—if not likely), Merab’s striking is filled with holes.

If this is a low output chess match, over 3 rounds, Cejudo’s got game. If it looks like more like Tekken, then its all Merab if he stays conscious.

A lot people are really underestimating Cejudo like he has no chance in this bout, I think Cejudo has the better grappling, while Merab has the better wrestling. I think Cejudo is a lot better in the striking than Merab.

Funnily enough, I am and I'm surprised no one else is. Sure Cejudo is 37 however his talent and skill isn't something that deteriorates with age. He arguably beat the BW GOAT after 3 years coming off the couch and took later rounds off of him. I don't get what Merab has done to seem so unbeatable. Like I've seriously heard people saying he'd "destroy OMalley" though he's yet to destroy anyone outside the ghost of Marlon Moraes who he was seconds away from being starched by. I think people overrate his performance against Yan. Yan has proven time and time again that his style has more holes than Swiss cheese and will likely lose to Yadong and its not like Merab did anything other than relentlessly spam telegraphed takedowns in that fight. There's no evidence to suggest he could do the same evidence to Cejudo while there being all the evidence vice versa could happen.

I actually like the king of cringe and respect Olympic athletes on a different level ….

But …. Merab seems like the lock of a lifetime to me !

I’m putting all personal feelings and likes aside …. Because god knows I had next level hate for Merab a few years ago after some of his “Aldo performances” …. But I think he dominates this fight and makes it look easy and retires henry .

Too much volume /pace /cardio …. And his wrestling will be more than enough … if sterling could outwrestle and outstrike Henry - so can Merab to a clearer extent imo …. I cnat see a 37 yr old Henry having any advantage in any area …

I think Merab is better than Sterling everywhere … other than maybe backpacking … but straight wrestling id favor Merab

Sterling was a foot taller lol. All takes downs came from the cage too, and he was off a teo year layoff.. I think Henry will keep the fight in the center. His age is a big concern though .

I only fear the pace that Merab brings and if Henry is training like a mad-man or not in preparation's for it
