Is Alexander gustafson overrated or underrated?

Neither, I imagine.

i think that gustafson is just a really good fighter, he is not over rated because his skills are there. i was there when he fought shogun and it was actually quite incredible to see.

Gus' resume is overrated. I've seen people put him in top 10 LHW all time already.

Gus' skill is underrated. People still attribute his success against Jones soley due to his frame. That's really a disservice to the movement, angles, combinations, and timing he showed in that fight.

'Inconsistent' might be the apposite word. A lot of people thought he bested Jones, and
then he followed up with a TKO in his following bout. Unfortunately, Cormier and Rumble
stole any thunder he had built up. A lot of people were talking about him after that Jones
battle. Real shame. He's fun to watch. I give Rumble more credit than DC. He really made
him look busch league.

Slightly underrated I would say, a lot of people write off his success against JBJ as just bc of his frame. That is why I would say he is underrated.

Some ppl overrate him. Hes a good fighter but everytime hes fought the top guys he lost.

Lost to jones but gave him a good fight
Lost to cormier
Lost to rumble

Untilhe beats one of them hes just not on their level.

I put him in the same league as Dirk Nowitzki... veird I know.

He has maaaad talent. But there will have to a bunch of things come together for him to be champ.

Never been convinced that he was going to be a staple as a top contender. His bouts vs Jones and Cormier were outstanding for sure, but he's always seemed too beatable.

Would like to see him string some wins together again and prove me wrong.

If he fought more often, then I'd let you know. One thing is for sure: he's poorly managed.
