Television INVINCIBLE (Season 4 Teaser Trailer, post #958)

If you have seen the entire season one of INVINCIBLE, how would your rate it?

I agree the episode felt flat. Compare that to the reveal of Omni man being exposed to Mark. It was an all action episode that lacked the weight behind it's punches.
Considering the huge deal it would be to have multiple marks causing havoc in the world, it felt so rushed. It felt like another tuesday. As powerful Mark is supposed to be, even weaker off brand marks should be the strongest forces on earth and so many of them got off scene deaths by heroes we never even seen before. Who the hell was the wolf guy and he kills a Viltrumite Mark? Knock offf blue beetle kills the other viltrumite mark off screen?

Mark proved he's a bitch and Cecil was right. There are multiple hims running around wrecking havoc and killing untold numbers of people, and he's not doing shit because one might come and find his girlfriend? He really isn't ready to be a hero yet.

We also finally got to see Immortal fight an opponent near his level and he gets murked easily lol. Without Omni man the Guardians must've sucked. In fact the entire planet sucks. They should've gotten Seismic and the dragon guy to fight the Invincibles because they caused the gaurdians more trouble than they did the Invincibles.

For that reason I thought the Invincible War would be stretched out to two episodes and the season would end with the introduction of Conquest. Now we're getting the conquest fight next episode, which is cool, but I hope they do it justice. The conquest introduction also didn't feel that powerful either.

I think they fucked up the power scaling and the overarching plot of this story if I'm being honest. We saw Mark get his ass kicked multiple times but lower level heroes after he got absolutely handled by Anissa, and to be old someone worse is coming, referring to Conquest. This season was supposed to set up that fight, but instead it seems Mark wasn't ready to fight another version of himself, much less a higher ranked Viltrumite. Mark wins that fight based on the comics, but that and the fact Viltrumite Marks get killed off screen by nobodies undermines their whole threat.

The whole point of the Viltrumite threat is that one is powerful enough to subjugate an entire planet alone, but we just saw multiple get killed by earth-level heroes. They should've spent more time fleshing out their fights to explain how they were killed. And not make it so easy and show the amount of destruction they caused.

I thought Jonathan Banks was supposed to voice Conquest but turns out he voiced some random hero named Brit.

I think this season would've been better if the arch culminated into the invincible war, just as how in S1 everything was tied around Omniman's reveal. They should've fleshed out the war in 2 episodes and ended it with Conquest's introduction.

They had this overarching question of whether Mark will kill or not this whole season, and when he finally battles that moral quandary again (with the same guy from last season mind you), his decision gets ripped away from him after a battle with a guy he already beat to death?

More thoughts after learning how it was in the comics.
The comics make a bit more sense but the invincible war there still seems rushed.
The wolf guy that kills one of the marks is actually Spawn in the comics.

The guy who kills mustache mark is tech jacket, who becomes of the more powerful heroes in the comics. But I know that he later has trouble with a random viltrumite so he shouldn't have handled mark so easily at that point.

In the comics, Mark is still a bitch who doesn't want to leave Eve's side.

8 Marks are left and they pretty much conquer the world and leave absolute destruction in their wake. This is why Angstrom decides to convene.
This didn't quite come through in the show.

In the comics Mark kind of gets the jump on Angstrom so there's no real fight. Mark very quickly gets ahold of him (as he should) but Oliver coming up behind and yelling breaks Mark's focus for a bit which allows Levy to fire those drones at him, allowing him to escape, which is what leads to get his arm chopped off by the portal. I feel this makes more sense because Levy and those drones shouldn't be a match at all for Mark.

Another thing is that Conquest, aside from Battle Beast, so far is the only character who's design in the show is worse than in the comics imo. Almost everyone else looks better in the show but Conquest and Battle Beast looks plainer and less menacing.

Honestly an Invincible War like that would absolutely annihilate the heroes they have introduced in the show.

Death toll should have been in the high millions easily.

Way too many B Tier heroes were able to stand up to even inferior versions of him.

I thought the same thing. The robots killing them made more sense to me and they should have had Cecil just come in with such a massive amount of them that it's the only reason they win. As well as using the sound device on them.

This. They should be time buyers at most. Maybe Immortal could handle a B-list Invincible or a dozen+ give their life to take one down. Cecil bringing one down with the sound device and cannon fodder cyborgs also works. But one got soloed by a werewolf and another by a guy with space lasers. Purple psycopath and two C listers handled one as well. Cecil can't bring them in to jump a viltrumite together?

Were those Marks only able to take over Earth in their own universes because of Omni-Man?

A much better episode, but this season has been all over the damn place in terms of quality.

Cecil is still the MVP, and his Origin Story was one of the highlights.

They need to get their Power Scale locked down. Mark sometimes struggles against villains he should absolutely murk.

The most annoying, whiny bitch in the whole show. And that's saying something.

We just need a scene of powerplex saying "yo bitch!" and zapping someone.

This proves Immortal is a can. He got his head popped off by an off brand Invincible while no name heroes were giving the other invincibles a fight. The whole guardians team is full of cans. This also proves Robot picked his friends over during the best guys during the try outs.

One of the Marks said he killed his version of Omni man so he must be pretty strong.
