I'm sure they'll do great jobs, but I bet lesser known actors who have more experience in voice acting could have done as well of a job.
I think JK Simmons is now iconic as Omni Man and Steven Yeun is great as Mark, but did we need Sandra Oh as Debby? Or Mark Hamill as the guy who makes the suits. I didn't even realize that was Hamill until just now when I looked up the cast. I also didn't know Goggins plays Cecil.
Sinclair was voiced by Ezra Miller in the first season but is now played by another guy and who even noticed?

Pretty sure no one noticed because Sinclair has had very few lines since the first season.

I had to look him up because when you mentioned his name I thought 'wait.... who the hell is Sinclair again?'

Does season 2 ever pick up? I'm on the 3rd episode and I'm struggling to get through it. Just really boring.

S2Ep1-3 are the least engaging of the entire series. No question.

But from Ep4 to the end it improves significantly.
Ep4 is the highlight though. You'll see why when you get to the end of the 3rd episode.

Show suffers from some tropes that isn’t its fault. “Super heroes shouldn’t kill” wasn’t played out in the early 2000s when the comics came out it is in 2025 for the show so I give it a pass there. I did like the twist the king was the immortal and not Omni man like I was thinking. Going crazy with immortality makes total sense.

Eve and Mark are so good together. Just another reason to hate Amber lol. The wait at least made us appreciate their chemistry.

Nolan and Allen buddy cop only made better by special guest appearance Battle Beast is so good. The complaints of bad animation need to shut up. Some good fight choreography in this. I don’t mind it dipping during dialogue to get a season out in a year.

So Immortal 'died' twice in the 1st Season by Omni-Man, once by karate-chop to the neck and his head went flying, and the other he was ripped in half at the waist.
Both times he didn't die, hence his name 'Immortal' because he can't die.

But in the future, Mark rips his head off and Immortal dies.

Animation wise personally I take the view that a few shortcuts like upper body shots in less important scenes don't really matter THAT much provided the bigger moments are well done.

He did specifically say “keep his parts separated or he’ll just come back” to the future twins

So I guess perpetual coma counts as death to immortal

I always thought that Immortal always "dies" if he takes enough damage, like getting his head chopped off, but he eventually regenerates and comes back.

It seems dying kind of gives him a fresh start mentally.

I guess in that future timeline, he went crazy because nobody could kill him for so long and he considered it too cowardly to off himself.

Future Immortal was a huge can for not just offing himself and blaming invincible for him being a ruthless dictator. He should’ve just flown himself into the sun like Mark said.

That didn't happen when he was resurrected and fought Omni-Man in the second-to-last episode of Season1.
I'm just making an assumption to explain a plot hole but I guess if he doesn't die for hundreds of years, he goes fucking nuts. But if he dies, he's kind of starting new again even though he remembers everything. Like living a "new" life with previous memories as opposed to one continuous really long one?

It's your fault for me becoming a genocidal maniac and killing tons of people! I want to die so it's on you if you don't kill me. But I'm no coward tho.

I went back saw the one v one fight against him and Omni man and I realized he is pretty damn strong. He held his own for a bit and could hurt Omni man before he got eventually ripped apart. Everybody acts like Mark is the strongest hero on earth but makes me wonder if S3 Mark really is stronger than Immortal. At this point Immortal and Mark could be even.
