Taha is done. He overestimated himself and got manhandled by a kid. Shameful performance but much respect to Gable. I knew him way before the Olympics but never ever expected such a flawless performance.

As a Turk I am highly disappointed. Ive never seen such a bad turkish wrestling era. All because of our corrupt federation and useless politicians.

Btw: the Iranians are dominating this Tournament. Seems like Iran is gonna take over Freestyle Wrestling for the next few years.

Snyder really struggled against his Iranian opponent. Last second win for him. Sadulaev crushed his opponent easily. Tomorrow its time, bois. 18 o'clock CET
 
So, does Burroughs rank up there with Smith now? Pretty cool that he was able to redeem himself after failing to make the Olympics, either way. I'd still rank Smith ahead of him, because Smith had unbroken dominance of a kind Burroughs hasn't really had, but coming back from adversity to achieve excellence is impressive in its own way.

Because mma would benefit a lot of someone talented like him. Also he would make good money in the long term.

I’m well aware mma is desperate for talent injection and to get more people to care. The money is debatable. He has earned quite a bit from the living the dream fund. Has multiple shoe deals with rudis. Gets paid around 5-10k to show up and show kids how to do an ankle pick for a day or two. He’s also “only” a 3 time world champ and 7 time medalist. With a win over the guy who he’s lost to the most. All while not having the most charisma and having very outspoken borderline fundamentalist Christian views.

From an athletic, personality, and financial perspective. Mma makes no sense

They don’t seem to realize that Sadulaevs don’t happen without Snyder’s there too either
 
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Burroughs' historic feat, not to mention his impressive redemption following his consecutive Olympic failures.
