Tech "intel's f-----"

AMD shares been on that red rollercoaster for the last year tho.

Down 60.9% YTD. Maybe we should overreact and say something imbecilic like "AMD is fucked!"
Its not like anyone can actually accuse you of being an intel fanboy either. You and I spent over a month going over builds for my computer and eventually both agreed AMD was the best choice at the time. The world of technology can seesaw and right now it's just seesawing the other way.

LOL you have completely lost it few hundred billion dollars? Please stop I could not troll you as hard as you troll yourself.

...and yet, they pissed away ~$200B in buybacks, alone. their valuation is down by ~$150B since this thread started. mobileye just went from $100B to $32B. and then there's the debt that they picked up and the billions wasted in dividends. additionally, your dream lover, himself, admitted they're going to be bleeding money til 2027.

lolz @ being so fucking clueless, despite this shit already being mentioned in this thread. repeatedly. none of this should be surprising.

yeah, they lost a few hundred billion.

Whining about strawmen...

lolz @ whining. ffs, you're the one having to resort to such bullshit, to begin with.

he points out that Intel just took the gaming CPU crown back, so you make a snide remark about space heaters. Except, that doesn't make sense, because AMD is running their CPUs to the thermal limit, too

right, because the space heater joke wasn't about high wattage. herp derp. i guess i never mentioned wattage before, amirite? only what, a mere 50 times?

Nobody needs a strawman. If we're going to oversimplify, that's the state of things. At the top, Intel has the best. At the mid-end, Intel has the best.

for the umpteenth times:

meanwhile, the entire client segment has crashed for all companies. also, like i said, amd is content with letting intel have the space heater market.
you're praising a low margin part in a dead segment.
yeah, i really don't think they care. if you haven't noticed (and like i said already), amd's focus is hpc and efficiency. i'm sure they're just fine with letting intel have the high end space heater market.

i just realized that you haven't actually refuted anything i said in what, years? no wonder you resort to strawmen, ninja deletions/edits (including your own posts), banning me from threads, etc.

lolz @ having the audacity to say anyone's whining after all the petty bullshit from your end. you've been butthurt since i shat talked blizzard.

rollercoaster? nah, it's been straight down. worst stock in the market of all the 'real' companies. shit, many joke companies' stock are doing better than amd.

funny enough, they're still way up since this thread (most semis are still way up from then to now). vs intel's disaster.

out of sheer laziness for searching, can you post your final build ? I may update soon and can always use some build profiles.

My point is competition is good for everyone and no doubt AMD will respond lately the margins are shrinking between performance levels for both companies. There was a time there was substantial performance boost when new CPU was introduced but the reality comes down to only marginal improvements. Consumers win in the end because he helps keeps prices down and forces companies to be more inventive to squeeze performance out. From what I see whoever gets to 2nm first this will largely mean the end of Moore's law as quantum effects and leakage will impact everything in the future. Till then newer chips will continue to see only marginal performance improvements.

I change parts so often I don't remember what most of it is.
CPU: 5800x
Mobo: ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
Are legitimately all I remember right now.

Score another one for Intel AMD was too unstable to run an 8K game so they decided to run it with 12900K.

Score another one for Intel

dude.

https://www.intc.com/news-events/pr...-reports-third-quarter-2022-financial-results

$10B worth of layoffs, sold half of mobileye for ~$17B (expected 50B), sold half of yet another fab (half of az to brookfield...), sold their ma r&d location, divested memory, etc - while getting bailouts. they're now selling off assets and doing a massive round of layoffs just to maintain their dividend (money hole).

but hey, i'm sure this 8k/whatever this crap is (i don't do clickbait) is going to undo all of this! lolz @ still trying to suck off patty after taking govt money and then immediately mass layoffs. what a piece of shit.

Dude should have bought an Intel lol.

"Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors will be the first to leverage its 4nm process node. Manufactured in Ireland by Fab 34, mass production was planned for the second half of 2022. Company CEO Pat Gelsinger recently toured Fab 34. According to PG, the factory area has doubled, and production capacity has improved significantly over the last couple of months."

yup!

margins eroded. datacenter went negative (eg: literally giving them away) and client is worse than in ages. seems like cutting your prices to compete when you need cash results in $10B in layoffs and etc... isn't a great move for a company that already claimed to have negative cash flow til 2025 (now 2027...)

and lolz @ posting hardware times. holy shit, man. i knew you didn't know much, but fuck... i figured you knew better than to post anything from areej.

umm...

Intel in talks with a major technology company "Nvidia?" about manufacturing components. An that they are sharing technology with Samsung apparently? Reason being to reduce security issues with chip supplies.

Here some reality not memes Intel CPU's in almost every market segment matches or exceeds AMD equivalent while leading in pricing. Intel admitted that the server space still lags but working on new chiplets that will improve their performance. The place still problematic is GPU drivers but that is largely due to the significant lead by both AMD an Intel on the driver side.

wat

like i said a gazillion times now, you clowns seem to think that a 12400/13600 (or whatever the best price:perf deemed cpu is) getting sales is somehow great for intel. meanwhile, their margins are slashed.

and for the umpteenth time, datacenter is what matters most.

ffs, january is 2 months away, anyway. (i mean, if you think this shit matters)

are you seriously this retarded where you think lowering their prices/margins is good news? hello? begging for taxpayer $ and immediately does $10B of layoffs. fire sales on their assets - including fabs and r&d facilities. in the red for the next however many years... lolz @ bragging about some shitty company with some of the most obscenely greedy management having deals on inefficient CPUs... when their competition didn't even bother to have a serious launch and viewed themselves (5800x3d) as the primary competition. THAT's how bad/dumb this is. add in a glut, and it's just a joke.

i know you can't get enough of patty's semen, but ffs. genoa's already out. bergamo is on the horizon. yeah, intel's seriously fucked. even all of biden's meddling hasn't been enough for them... and after the layoffs, i'm not sure they'll get another chips act.

Serious question are you a bot? You seem to respond quickly an seem to root for US failures.

Serious question are you a bot?

says the one notorious for spamming.

You seem to respond quickly an seem to root for US failures.

intel isn't the us. just a shitty company that made a lot of obviously bad decisions for their own (personal) gains. ffs, they're a leech of the usa, draining taxpayer $ while they perform mass layoffs. great company, definitely worth fellating.
