No, they've run a "tick-tock" cycle. Two gens of CPUs on the same board. Unless they get to their next nm fabrication with the next release, I'd expect the next gen to be compliant with this one. But as I pointed out, the Z690 motherboard's superiority for future upgradeability is about a lot more than the CPU (which I think get upgraded even by AMD users in an incredibly rare number of cases).If you’re talking about a mobo being able to take a cpu upgrade in the future, then it’s currently a wash. Intel almost always abandons previous gen mobos when they release a new cpu. That’s one thing I do hate about their model vs amd.
