In before I get called a racist white trash hillbilly by you idiots, I'm indian ethnicity born in canada.

Thanks to Trudeau allower a huge surge immigrants after covid, a good chunk of them being Indians. Canada has pretty much become a little india and let me tell you...indian immigrants are the worst

They abused the PR system by going to the fake scam colleges that print diplomas and got Permanent residency, came in on fake documents, overstay their visas and refuse to leave the country when it expires and don't assimilate, they are claiming fake asylum status when they aren't refugees and that wastes more canadian taxpayer dollars, and they aren't doctors or scientists, there low skill. Just working at Tim Hortons ( walk into any tim hortons in canada and you will see)

Never SEEN any indian doctors or nurses, the foreign doctors and nurses in canada are Arabic, Chinese, African, etc. They are the worst ones at assimilating, don't care about learning English.

They came in huge numbers and most of the biggest cities in canada looks like Mumbai. Toronto, Niagara falls, Brampton, Surrey etc.

Deportation process is a joke in this country, there's no ICE in canada hunting down Visa overstayers, they just send a letter in the mail telling them to leave the country and that's it. The customs and border agency called CBSA is really understaffed and the recruiting process takes 2-3 years to join (I was an applicant for them).

As a person of Indian descent (Born in Canada by way of Guyana), I agree with everything you said...... except the part about foreign doctors/specialists not being Indian.

I live in Brampton (The Nexus point for all Sikhs in Canada), and almost every doctor at William Osler is South Asian or Asian.

I have so many axes to grind with the Indian community, I don't have time in the day to write all of them out. The highlights:

1) Buy a house and turn it into a hostel with 15 Indian Students
2) Those same 15 students will have zero money and work warehouse jobs, but drive nicer cars than I do
3) No attempts to assimilate. I got laughed at at a Tim Horton's (Brampton) because I couldn't speak Hindi or Punjabi. The girl behind the counter thought it was so funny a brown guy could only speak English

4* This one is specific to me, but Indian people don't consider me Indian. They view Guyanese people more as black, because we were part of the indentured slave trade that brought Africans and Indians to work the sugar plantations during colonialism. I have been told multiple times in my life that I am not Indian.... and you know what, I'm glad. I'm Canadian - That's where I was born, that is where I was raised and that is who I pledge my allegiance to.

The symptom is Indians and other immigrants flooding the country.

The root cause is TFW, exploitative visas and the corporations and landlord class who incentive the politicians to make these policies such a way that would guarantee profits (low wages, part time, renter class).

Indians aren't the issue. Many are being tricked and conned into coming here with the promise of a better life. It's a racket in which certain professions (immigrant consultants or agents) and corporations/politicians/landlords are benefiting.

This is one of the crazier facts about immigration in the 21st century.

Indians in the US are the most educated and most well-off of all groups. Even more than the Japanese and Taiwanese and way ahead of whites.

Two very similar, neighboring countries receiving VERY different types of immigrants from the same country.

Statscan doesn't give data on what is paid to whom based on race, to suggest that they would is ridiculous. In the meantime just look at this statscan data that shows how many immigrants aren't employed. If they aren't working the government is paying for them. Now since we know the majority immigrants come from India... lets apply some basic logic...

That's a false assumption, many of the Indians came as students and they're paying money to go to school (real or fake).

International students who are here on student visas aren't included in the number of new immigrants to canada

Students are not counted in the employment rate, both when it comes to immigrants and and citizens.

If you had any logic, I would say it's flawed.

It's not other natives and its not whites, there has been an explosion of missing women and human traffic in general in Canada going back many years and it is all connected to Indian organized crime

We have different vetting criteria for different countries for India and China its an open door. If you are coming from Mexico or the US very different story.

The short answer is yes, it is a significant contributor to the accumulation of microplastics in the environment. However, the real question is the materiality of that bio-accumulation and what impacts (if any) it has on human or terrestrial/aquatic health.

As an example, if I stand by the side of the highway, I am probably going to be inhaling tons of microplastics from multiple sources. However, I am also inhaling known carcinogens, heavy metals, toxins etc. The issue with microplastics is that at this juncture, we simply don't know what the impacts are, but we are making it the environmental boogeyman of the 21st century.

I'll give you a real world example. Using those single serve K-Cups probably result in microplastics in your coffee (you are superheating PP or PS pods, and then drinking the water that filters through them). People get their panties in a bunch over this. However, these same people don't seem to take issue with the fact that there are literally hundreds of chemicals in their hazelnut zero calorie latte that are known to be bad for your health.

We are focusing on the wrong problem.... and that problem is Indian people (bringing it back to the thread topic)
