As an anecdote only I am just leaving Canada now to return home and in the past 24 hours I’ve had two Indian taxi/uber drivers comment that they wanted to migrate to Australia but couldn’t so they chose Canada instead. Apparently it takes 7 years to get permanent residency - if you are accepted.

Eh, I work with alot of people from that part of the world and every single one of them has 2 jobs, a day job and a night job. Some of them study as well as work both jobs.

As for the physicality, maybe it's just my industry but we get some big Indians in. Some are shit, some are great. Pakistanis are the smallest I see. Sri lankans are pretty solid and into their rugby and Bangladeshis can bang.

Between 2016 and 2019, Indian international students enrolled in U.S. universities dropped by 13% but increased by 182% at Canadian universities. Diplomatic issues between India and Canada have reduced Indian student visa approvals in the short term.

Totally separate issues. The U.S. needs skilled workers and unskilled. The reason housing prices are so high is that corporations (and regular Joes for that matter) buy up houses as an investment. I had a neighbor approach me the other day asking me if I wanted to sell for "an investment". I told him I have no interest in selling and even if I did I would only sell to a buyer that intended on living there. He has not spoken to me since. He has a fat wife, I mean orca fat, and 3 fat children, lol. Gotta love it.
