It's not really the same thing. The talk about overweight women are still beautiful is about how they perceive themselves. Their internal self-esteem. That they shouldn't value themselves based on their appearance. A fat guy can tell himself the same thing -- that his value isn't tied into how he looks. It would be the same thing.

As for the ratings thing - women are more relative in their thinking. So while a guy is going to judge each woman on her individual appearance, women are going to rate men relative to other men.

A guy sees a girl online and says "Would I fuck?", if the answer is yes then she's attractive, even if she isn't the most attractive. A woman sees a guy online and says "Is he more attractive than the last guy I looked it?" If the answer is yes, the new guy is "attractive" and the last guy isn't. If the answer is no then the new guy isn't attractive, only the last guy is.

Actually, I don't really use Tinder anymore but my entire timeline is flooded with 10s and not by my own choice, to such an extent I question the validity of the profiles.

I know very little about how they function but I''ve read that they present themselves as gentlemen and consider themselves old fashioned in the modern swipe right for Chad culture. It's the Hikiko's I sympathize with more as they believe they are ugly and useless. A lot of them aren't ugly and in Japan, where they're most recognized, they teach themselves English just to hear from cultures that are different from their own. They seem like highly productive members of society being confined to the backrooms. It makes no sense, and then dating apps won't let these people interact either. That''s what dating apps are for. A lot more than 10% of men are able to get dates from online dating. Really, any average guy can get dates on tinder, bumble or whatever. Not with the hottest girls but with average girls their age.
It's a bit absurd how women have it much easier and how some men get a lot more matches but you don't need that. If you are able to get a date a month you will not be an incel for long.

I think this is probably going off topic, but I will say this, men are EXTRAORDINARILY stupid when it comes to simping. I think every guy can get a girl. Personally I got issues with getting a gf. But its purely down to my preferences. I want good looking girl, top shelf, end of story. Nothing average. But then how can I expect to get top shelf when I am myself average. This is where escorts come into play which I do use. So I totally dont understand that movement at all. You want a gf? Have a realistic expectations of what can you get.

I don't use escorts. I'm in my early 40s and look younger (a 26-year-old woman thought I was around her age about a year ago, I thought she was older than 26). I take care of myself. I prefer to date younger women, around 25-30 or so. Haven't had any issues dating women in my preferred range so far... As I get older (and wealthier), I may look into the sugar dating thing if I start to have problems. But I'm not there yet. Straight up prostitution/escorts isn't really my thing.
