Fedor fell from grace following the Werdum loss, then b2b losses to TRT Bigfoot and Hendo. While he was the #1 HW in the world before fighting Werdum, many believe he was already showing signs of decline as evidenced from the Rogers fight and even in 08 with his wild swinging approach around 07/08, abandoning technical aspects/strategy from when he dominated the world as the P4P #1. Which fight do u believe was the last of the Emperor's prime?

2005. Which is sad to think about because it was 11 years ago. He should retire.

Werdum imo.

He dun goofed by jumping into Werdum's guard and then his confidence was never the same.

Prime isn't just about physical state, it's also about mental state.

In your opinion, how many opinion polls is enough for one night?

Sorry I mean Rogers fight was the FIRST fight I noticed of his decline

Tim Sylvia.

But Fedor losing his prime begins with the mental aspect of the game. He fell in love with striking.

He's a sambo dude, first and foremost. His rise and dominance was due to great take downs and relentless gnp.

Then he stood with Crocop to prove a point. The point was proven, but it has a bad long term effect.

But great that Fedor was, he could still pulled out that one punch KTFO, as against Arlovski and Rogers. But you can only rely on that for so long. As was shown in the Big Foot fight... and most recently with Fabio.

His decline started with having fallen in love with striking, forgetting his grappling.
Then the rest is age, wear and tear, just like everyone else.

There was a point in i think the 3rd Nog fight, where Fedor dropped him and then had an eerily similar situation to jump into his guard like he did Werdum but he stopped, thought about it, was patient and didnt. He

He stopped thinking in fights in the late 00s, just looked for the quick finishes and fought like a wildman.

We already started to see his decline around 07, when he stopped fighting as smart, and instead just started throwing bombs. He used to be an exceptional fighter with the best transitions in the game.

Fedor, Frankie, Dom, Demetrious and GSP are the best transitional fighters ive ever seen in MMA (Sherk had great transitions too but he wasnt as technical as those guys, more of a workhorse). Fedor was the best ive seen at transitioning to clinch. His entries were impeccable.

Arlovski was the first fight I thought, why is he fighting that way?

Although I think Rogers fight was the first time he clearly showed signs of decline.

Whichever fight was after he married his 2nd wife. Everything was "God's will" after that.

I feel like Sylvia was his last truly dominant performance. I mean, we all saw it coming.... But since then it seems like he's been a lot more actual "fights" then one-sided beatdowns.
