Masvidal is goat journeyman
Mousasi was a champion basically everywhere but the UFC though. Great and fun fighter thoughthis makes Mousasi a great candidate.
Yes it does, it's the MOAT, the middest of all time.A journeymen ranking doesn't make any sense.

Since pride FC loved seeing their stars get showcase fights, wouldn't a bunch of less capable fighters automatically get this distinction?A fighter who never won gold but fought a royalty list and was never one to shy away from being used to fight up and coners Jardine is in the tops. I’m sorry the word journeyman alludes you
Probably, and I don’t necessarily mean cans. Someone like Fujita is a good pick. He’s a legit good fighter with some nice wins (and was ranked in the top 10 at one point), but really never could beat elite competition, never challenged for a title in any major org, fought in a bunch of different orgs.Since pride FC loved seeing their stars get showcase fights, wouldn't a bunch of less capable fighters automatically get this distinction?
Greatest Journeymen of all time would be a fun list. But what qualifies as Journeyman? Never cracking the top 5?
Of the current crop I like Vincente Luque.
Also Jim Miller must be GJOAT right?
Ed Herman comes to mind too
I have no watching history of Pride FC and I was talking about the UFC specificallySince pride FC loved seeing their stars get showcase fights, wouldn't a bunch of less capable fighters automatically get this distinction?
I don’t think journeyman and gatekeeper are that far apart in definition and they shouldn’t be negative titles. I personally have Jardine over most of who you listed on terms of gatekeeper or journeymanGood list but I'd probably put Cerrone and Nate Diaz above them, since they also had very long careers, crazy resumes and probably more quality wins than those two. As one example, Cerrone beat Miller when both were in or much closer to their primes. Donald and Nate also fought for the LW title but lost...and had fights at WW.
But I'm not sure what "best journeyman" really means. Is it different than best gatekeeper? Kongo, Bonnar, Brunson, Roy Nelson and others also come to mind.
At no point in time did many people believe Jardine was winning a belt. He competed but always as a dog. Jardine if you would like to call him gatekeeper or journeyman that is an argument for you and you alone. I think you really have a problem with terminology for a fighter who was an underdog contender in all major circumstances but was later used to never shy away from up and comers. This issue you have personally I can’t help you.WTF that is NOT a journeyman dude lmao... journeymen aren't contenders (for more than a blip at most)

Then by definition Jardine being exactly what was described other than he remained a contender earlier on wouldn’t that make him an elite level journeyman? I think we are kinda splitting hairsI am not arguing that Jardine is or is not a gatekeeper, I was saying I completely disagree that a journeyman is someone who "stayed mainly fighting in the upper echelons as opposed to stopping fighters from getting there"
