They will Mackenzie. Isn't it time you put your kid to bed?
Love owning you. It was fun.

Well I know a ballpark from what her father told me and I can tell you it's alot more than her contracts in the UFC lol.
I highly doubt that. What's with the complaining over fighter pay if they make that much from sponsorships?
Isn't training with women against their religion/culture?go to a proper wrestling coach. going with triple cringe isn't enough and we don't know if he's a good Td teacher; most of the best teachers weren't the best athletes. i woudl say go to AKA, and let he be dagestan ready.
Umm you do know fighter took a huge financial hit once the UFC stop allowing sponsors right?
That's why some fighters made more money at Bellator and didn't resign with the UFC. You have unlimited ability for sponsorship.
So again, you can doubt it. I know them personally and believe what her father told me.
Love owning you. It was fun.
You're just repeating what I told you and contradicting yourself. I just told you that fighter sponsorship took a hit with the Reebok deal. Now you're claiming that fighters make more money from sponsors than they do from fighting. Get your story straight.
Doesn't she train at her Father's gym?
I don't think she would leave them...
yes but we are talking about MMA not competition BJJ tournaments. The expectation of her is to utilize her BJJ skills and that requires getting the opponent on the ground. So the question is why can she not do basic single legs, arm drags, body locks and so on. This is your profession.
@kenetics
My 63 year old mom would be 3-3In eight UFC fights she's 6-2.
Because bjj and especially competition don't reward takes downs as much as playing guard. It's is more beneficial to practice all ground work more than takedowns because it's an easier route to victory.
A guard player in bjj competition can sweep and sub from the bottom. The top player can only pass guard to get points and before they can start going for subs.

mcdojo BJJ belt holders need to realize this.. or else stay in their no striking allowed comfort. the zone.
The bjj standards needs to change. if you can't get up from the bottom, sweep, stop a takedown, or get a takedown then yur mcdojo belt should get stripped and replaced with a blue blue. If you run a gym that gives belts to people who can't do these things then you are running a mcdojo n you need to be called out for it. Most bjj schools are probably mcdojos... just like how most karate schools in the 90s were mcdojos. Just cause most are n its the norm... doesnt mean theyre not mcdojos
IF Dern works out how to throw a 1-2 into a takedown she wins that fight. That's not a hard thing to teach someone in 2 years if she gets it to click. Her defence was pretty good on the boxing side of things, she needs to add some checks and learn how to counter kicks into takedowns better.
If she can throw straight and crowd her opponents she will continuue to win more than she loses with some minor adjustements. That's scary to think with how that fight played out.
Great money at fighting??? She only made $66k and 25% of that will be paid out to coach, trainers, gym management, etc BEFORE income tax. If you can't post real dollar amounts, don't reply.

Offically, she has only landed 3 takedowns in her ufc career. This should be a glaring weakness in her game by now, right? Do you think she's at the right gym to fix this weakness? and if not, where do you think she should go?
It doesn't seem like there's as many good wrestling focused gyms for WMMA fighters as there are for males. For instance, AKA is obviously a great wrestling gym, but they seem to have very few female bodies for Dern to train with there.
Anyways, I'm just wondering what you think Dern should do next.
I will mention at no point was Dern even close to getting finished where as her opponent was saved 2x by the bell. It's more an issue with MMA having all rounds start on the feet. Don't get me wrong, she lost the fight and has heaps of work to do, but her opponent had 3.5 rounds to impose her will in her wheel house and get the finish and the only moments anyone looks like getting finished belonged to Dern. 2 years from now IF Dern works out how to throw a 1-2 into a takedown she wins that fight. That's not a hard thing to teach someone in 2 years if she gets it to click. Her defence was pretty good on the boxing side of things, she needs to add some checks and learn how to counter kicks into takedowns better.
