I enjoy food as well, but I'd rather go on a diet and take my chances at LHW than have to work my way up the ranks of HW only to get destroyed by JDS for 5 more rounds.
Also, LHW is running out of contenders, so if he could make the cut and won one fight against a big name, he would probably be in line for a title shot.

I thought he looked great. Slimmer, fast but just as powerful.
Mitrione looked good too but he took a big well placed shot.

Yeah for some reason I thought him climbing the ring is more impressive than punishing Meathead.
His footwork looked good. He's obviously faster and more athletic. And then he decided to just sit in the pocket and trade. Bad idea.

He is still very far from title contention at any weight, he got destroyed by all the top 10 guys he fought. He should stay at heavyweight and embrace his role as one of the three gatekeeping musketeers with Kongo and Struve :icon_chee

nelson is the BJ penn of the HW division, not sure how people don't see it...
he has great all around skills, and amazing chin, and world class jitz.. but because of his lack of effort he will never be anything than a fan favorite.

I'm not going to push too hard with this point but the same logic that says he sucks as a coach says that some big fat disorginized slacker ought to make for a crappy fighter. But we've seen otherwise AND his team was not only even with Carwin's in the quarters and semis - they actually won the show! Plus do you remember at the beginning of the season when Dana and Carwin were all saying that these teams were the worst mismatch ever in the history of TUF? Carwins guys were all bigger, stronger and, on paper, better than Roy's. Then Roy goes on to make what everyone thinks to be bone headed match up and draws straws and lets his guys pick their own fights? According to everrybody's conventional wisdom, Nelson's guys weren't supposed to even win a fight.

Roy looked the best I've ever seen him, I don't get how he can have that physique and do as well as he does. Guy is a legend.
