The seats don't just vanish they allocate to other states. New seats aren't created either. We've had 435 seats in the house since 1920 but the population has tripled.

The population is just one of several factors considered by the apportionment court.

Latinos have traditionally been a solid part of the republican base and known for their tradition family and religious values. When I was younger it was a given that many latinos would be voting GOP. Hence, the republicans used to believe in the American dream and supporting hard working people.

Also, not hard to imagine a lot of latinos not wanting to vote for a woman.

Nothing has happened there, I'm pointing out that a leading cabinet member is willing to overrule legal rulings from the courts in order to impose military force against the country's citizens.
