For some reason the census data going back to 1910 showing the same number of electoral seats per year wasn't interesting.

Correct, the thing people misunderstand is that they think if a state gains a seat, it magically becomes Democratic. More often then not, that state is further gerrymanded, more often than not again in favor of the GOP.

Between 2010 and 2020, California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia gained population but lost a seat.


Florida, Montana, North Carolina, Oregon each gained one.

And Texas gained 2.

In reality, California, New York and Illinois all lost a seat after the 2020 census and Texas gained 2 and Florida gained 1.

The number of seats does not go up directly with the population increases in the state.

The number of seats in Congress today is 435 and it's been that was since 1920, yet the population increased by more than 300%.

If this idea you have was reality, California would have 150 seats today.

1: economy
2: cultural issues
3: the border

You also ignored this part of my post for some reason, probably because I explain how I think no one in particular benefits from illegals being counted in the census.

The other thing you're omitting is the census already took place in 2020 after Trump politicized the issue. The next census is in 2030. But in reality, you probably just don't know that the census is only once every ten years.

You're also pretty much ignoring the other point that the illegal population is spread out pretty evenly, with concentrations near where they enter.

And you're also ignoring the reality of how the populations are dispersed across the states, even if in your fantasy scenario you have all the illegals in a state living in exactly one area, most states wouldn't even gain a single seat. You could do the reverse and remove all the illegals from a state, and it also wouldn't alter the number of seats assigned.
