After the watching the last interview and verbal onslaught from McGregor and Diaz ... I don't think Aldo would have been able to cope. Especially with the media circus and Irish fans.

Aldo talks big about how he wants the rematch with McGregor, but when you factor in what comes along when you sign to fight McGregor (i.e. the mind games, insults, media, fans, pressure) ... I honestly don't think Aldo makes it to the cage, especially considering how much more ammo Conor has for him now that he KO'd him in 13 seconds ... it would be brutal.

He did get KOed in 13secs, though, so I don't think all that would matter much save his rematching Conor and this time not underestimating Conor's ability and not jumping face first into him.

I don't think Aldo wants the rematch. And if Conor beats Nate and becomes the p4p #1, he's never gonna get it either.

The guy is professional fighter, he did let the hype and trash talk get to him causing him to go full retard and dive into an elite counter puncher 13 seconds in. You are delusional if you think he would do that again.

Conor is going to become the #1 p4p fighter if he beats Nate Diaz? Where do you people come from?? Jesus christ man.

He's going from 145 to 170 in a heartbeat, while never having lost in the UFC, having beat the previous p4p #1, and several top 5/10 opponents at his previous weightclass.

That's the definition of p4p.

If Conor beats Nate, he's p4p #1, no doubt about it.

Stop telling the truth.

Do you mean officially or in the fanboy rankings? Bones is no.1 atm and rightfully so - if he beats DC again he'll be way ahead

Aldo doesn't want it but he will pretend like he does for the rest of his life. Aldo is hoping Conor never comes back to 145 and he probably will get his wish. Then he can get a few wins, get his belt back and retire the "GOAT FW", like so many wish he still was.

He's thrown that same combination in like every fight of his. He didn't play into Conor's mind game, he did Jose, and Conor did Conor.

Holy shit guy, thats not how it works nor should it.

TS, people grow from experience. the same antics wouldn't cause the same effect now that he went through it for a year, got KO'd and suffered from it a little more.

Conor could not make 145 Faber accepted the fight and Conor turned the shit down and I can understand that he put on weight for the other title fight but if they had never dreamed this hair brain idea up about holding all these belts he would not have bulked up and he could have made weight and defended his title like whats stated in UFC policy which all other fighters must follow. The reason that policy is in place is to avoid this nonsense that is happening tomorrow with a champion fighting a non title fight against a guy that got a 10 day training camp. Its a slap in the face to the other guys that Conor steps up and makes Nate rich while they are eating cat food. I am old school I know what is right and what is some phony ass bullshit and I will never shut up about it.

this was the whole story of the first fight, he underestimated him. no way aldo bum-rushes anyone like that if it wasn't the case. the rematch would in all likelihood look completely different and i still think aldo is one of the guys that matches up well against mcgregor.

however i'd want him to have a full camp, none of this 'surprise you have a fight in a few days' shit. and he's going to have to learn to deal with the pre-fight pressures and distractions a little better this time.

Depends on how he accepts that 13 second KO. if he feels that it'll happen again because McGregors first line offense knocked him out, then he should take some time away to prepare mentally. If he's angry, knowing he is a much better fighter than what he showed and was in fact in shape and training like he initially said he was, then I'm sure he would've done fine. Cant really go any worse than the first fight unless it was a 5 round decimation but I doubt that will be the case. I think if Aldo fights smart, with his head instead of his heart, we see the fight we all missed out on.

No matter what Aldo does the result would be the same, Conor would just hunt him down and bust him in the chin again. If you can't see that then you are the delusional one.
