I'm worried for our boy Mike Perry...

Paul is gonna win a boring decision, and get credit for a knockdown off a stumble. Basically all his fights.

Pffft. I gave you a respectful answer. I'm not gonna argue with you. Don't be a dick about it. He's not your boyfriend. If you think it's real, enjoy the shit out of it. I think he's a fraud and his fights are fixed. Agree to disagree.
Thing is with boxing, it's not something you can fake.

Only way you can get to that level of skill is by putting in years of work. Years of sparring.

Only people who think he's a fraud and doubt it's real, don't actually grasp what it takes.

That's why the people Hating on him, viewing him as fake and all this stuff tend to be fans who don't really understand boxing on a tangible, experiential level.

And you see fighters almost entirely giving him credit.

Because they know just how much work it takes to get there. It's not something you can weekend warrior for a little while and pretend about.

There's a spar of him and Hasim Rahman, this is from like 4 years ago, he was only a year into the sport. Hasim wasn't going 100%, but Jake showed a ton of talent and potential

If you're a boxing coach watching that, against a guy with 20 years of experience on you, you're pushing him into pursuing boxing full time, 100%, without a doubt.

A coach will have that eye, they'll see potential before anyone else does. Before even they do.

Not everyone has it though. It comes with some experience, a lot of data and a certain kind of mind.

But, yeah, his skill is very much real. There's no question about that.

Like Rogan said, if he was anyone else and people weren't so fixated on his name and status as an influencer, he would get more respect and honesty.

People don't realize how snake charmed they are by polarizing figures though. It's hard for many to see past that bias. This also requires a certain type of mind to push past.

What's the point of doing that when you're legitimately a better boxer than them though?

Fight fixing happens.

But, I don't really see why Jake Paul would be singled out more than anyone.

You could only think that if you genuinely believe he can't box or fight. Which isn't something based in reality.

If the fights are scripted, they are doing an awful job, because they have all been boring and slow, and just awful fights up until yhe few KOs. If they are scripting it, they should script in more action and drama lmao.

I edited it, didn't mean to be such a dick.

This is the other half of the post though.

Nate barely threw anything when he fought masvidal in MMA too. He didn't start throwing until the 3rd.

Jake was hitting him and countering well whenever Nate moved forward and started to gain some momentum.

Only after Jake started slowing down, you seen Nate come online a bit

Nate is historically a very slow starter as well.

How about Tommy fury?

Anderson Silva looked about as good as you can expect from a 45 year old man, with some tinges of Anderson of old.

All these conspiracies, imagine if you just spent that amount of time analyzing technique.

Tons of fighters have been pretty respectful of Jake. Even tank, Tyson Fury, DC, O Malley

Are they all in on it too? Did Jake pay them all off to say he had skill?

Did he also pay Mike perry to say he kicked his ass after they sparred a few years ago?
It's not worth debating. I don't want to spoil the fun for you. Fury fight was real and that's when he looked the most horrible when he was facing real legit adversity from someone not holding back. Every mma fighter has been paid to not hurt him. I've seen enough fights and boxing matches to know the difference. It's not that big of a conspiracy. It happens. Especially in today's circus boxing.

Well they're definitely not scripting entire events

That would be a lot of work lol

Perry was a mid-tier at best WW in the UFC. Losing to a younger, much bigger Jake Paul in boxing (not even bareknuckle) doesn't mean much for either guy.

Tommy fury is a good boxer, not upper echelon, but he's been boxing for 20 years.

There's just levels to it. Even lower level pro boxers are better than 99% of mma fighters.

So, that comparison doesn't really work.

He lost because he fought better competition that was probably too early.

You don't even end up in a fight with someone like Fury and hold your own , unless you're at a certain level of skill.

He didn't seem as juicy as he normally does, I think that was probably a factor. Skill wise, he looked better in the Anderson Silva fight.

Fury smokes anyone else Jake has fought too.

But again, its only really people who don't understand boxing that keep saying he can't fight. He's got skill, otherwise he wouldn't be here. You can't fake the work that it takes to get to this point.

Eventually you're just gonna have to recognize that the kid has talent and potential in the sport. How good he could be, who knows.

Maybe not the top, but he can fight.

He's beating the guys that he should be beating at his level of skill.

Jake doesn’t have a mark on him and Perry is punching air. Lmao Perry forgot how to fight just like Diaz. this shit is so fake I turned it off. Can’t watch this garbage. Are boxing fans digging this?? Unwatchable. Atrocious trash. I can’t take it anymore you guys. Somebody make this stop. It’s so bad for both sports. 😭

that fight was badass

almost called it but I did say he wins this w his heart

huge size difference

jake picks easy fights against smaller/older men with a name. its nothing new.

we all saw him lose to tommy fury. a guy his size and age who started his professional boxing career at a similar time.

lol fuck this retard - taking a risk? paul is bigger, taller, longer reach, and a better boxer - every single thing was in his favor

Perry hardly threw anything. Like suspiciously little. That kinda felt like a work to be honest.

He's a tough dude, but after watching his BKFC fights, he arguably lost to MVP and Lane. He comes straight forward, chin up, little head movement, and relies on toughness.

Will losing to Jake Paul diminish his reputation? I can see him getting knocked out by Paul.

I'm nervous.
damn you called it.
