I'm worried for our boy Mike Perry...

the big red flag with the Paul fights for me is that every other fight is available on draftkings to bet on, except his. odd.
This fight literally just saved my weekend... You can most definitely bet on his fights...

This thread actually aged well o_O

Absolutely, this dude knows what he’s doing
No doubt, making big bucks being a coward by doing only exhibition "matches". Wait, give Paul his due credit, he did one "fight" with a boxer.

There's just levels to it. Even lower level pro boxers are better than 99% of mma fighters.
Gee, levels. You think ANY real pro would ever call out a non-boxer ?
its only really people who don't understand boxing that keep saying he can't fight. He's got skill, otherwise he wouldn't be here.
Ya mean to be where his skill puts Jake? Several years into it, and still with Zero wins against any boxer?
Fury smokes anyone else Jake has fought too.
As Fury should. Jake had no fights with any boxers and Fury isn't Fake Paul. Tommy is a man that wouldn't sink to calling a non-boxer to fight.

mike put up a respectable effort. i don't think he lost any stock in general, but i fear what a lot of people think is going to happen: his stock will go down a lot in bkfc. it shouldn't. my money would be on perry if he fought jake in bkfc. i think most would agree.

I tried to bet on it, was not available on the draftkings app in the states, but the hall, serrano, etc. fights were available. I don't go crazy with sports betting and generally only use draftkings. fanduel has screwed me too many times with its live casino timing out and keeping my bet so I stopped using it.

Hands COMPLETELY down. Chin up. Also a non-existent ref.

Mike was going against a man 1 or 2 weight classes above himself
I get that but that's not what I asked. Between Askren, Woodley, Silva, Diaz and Perry, Anderson's the only one who looked like he had any background to even be in there. You would think pro fighters would be able to move their feet, defend themselves and put some jabs together at least. Throw punches with some balance underneath them. Idk I guess that brand of boxing goes out the window in mma.

Let's be honest, Jake Paul would KO every UFC champion on the same night in boxing. Would be crazy to see him KO Pereira, Aspinall and Jones, back to back.

Most of us knew this fight would go the way it did
Mike has always had atrocious boxing fundamentals and footwork
It was a bad move besides the pay check

At least he didn’t get flatlined like Tyron

Mma fighter or cab driver with losing records for 15 fights like most pros

What's the difference? Lol

Comparatively speaking, Jake has actually been tested more in his early pro fights than most pros tend to

They don't really even sweat until they're like 15 fights deep, the rest are just gimme.

Somehow we hold Jake paul to a higher standard than even the best in the game though, lol.

I think he's been built up fine. Frankly, Tommy fury and Hasim Rahman Jr were too early.

They tried to book Tommy in his 5th fight. Right after Woodley.

Expecting him to be fighting top competition right into his early career isn't something based in reality. Fighters are built up slow and tactically for a reason, if you do too much too soon, this is how careers end before they even begin.

Gotta feel bad for him

He took an absurd amount of damage, like career ending kind of damage.

Hopefully he made a bag, otherwise, it definitely wasn't a wise move..especially if it somehow impedes his performances / career in bare knuckle.

Boxing is just miles ahead

Even a good amateur is gonna smoke like 99% of mma fighters in straight up boxing.
