I've only watched a small portion of Amber's testimony so far. She's trying to pass herself off as an angel, while painting Depp as the devil. However the details she's providing about Depp's actions sound pretty genuine to me. There have been studies on the contents of the stories of people telling the truth vs. lying. Liars tend to be overly general in their description of events, sticking to the big lines of the story. Since it never happened, they struggle with details. Genuine stories contain a lot of random details, detours and descriptions that you wouldn't spontaneously think about - tidbits that aren't part of the strictly necessary aspects of the story. The stuff she's saying about Depp in specific instances, e.g. yelling at X party, doing drugs with X person, feeling threatened by her career, flipping out because she had a kissing scene in X movie, being overly possessive and making comments that she's dressed as a whore on X event, his being a creep when they first met on set when she was like 20, etc, sound pretty genuine. The things she's quoting him as saying sound exactly like the kind of wishy-washy eccentric bullshit he does say. She's just leaving out that she was acting just as crazy as he was, and there was probably no physical abuse (nothing corroborated by any witness). People are being blinded by their celebrity worship and acting like Depp is some sort of angel. No angels, only devils here. The guy's been avoiding eye contact this entire testimony.
