Thats what it is and it shows us how easy it is to fool people. Depp had one of his greatest acting performances down to the smallest nuances. There was nothing genuine about it but people are completely fooled and played by their emotions.

He wins this marketing war and imo thats why he sued her. He brings an enormous amount of media power, powerful friends and acting experience to the table. Also the goodwill of all his fans, not because of facts but because they like his movies. He will outact Amber easy.

If you look at the facts Depp is a fuck up and not a small one. He abuses harcdore drugs for many years. Sure you can say in private we all talk some crazy shit sometimes but his emails / text messages are beyond disturbing and show someone who has deep seated issues. Sure maybe he is one of the very few who doesnt act erratic and toxic when on high amounts of alcohol...etc but I doubt it.

Amber is just the same and may very well have been the physical violent one in the relationship but these are two Hollywood degenerates throwing dirt and not some traumatized angel Jonny Depp vs. evil Amber.

The media and fans make a disney movie out of it when it is just a classic Hollywood marriage.

My take is Johnny don’t care about the money or about wining - he did this as he wants the public to hear both sides and had faith in his ability to present a persuasive story over hers, garner support and redeem his name. It’s really not about truth, tho that may play a part, he is a master actor and orator and she is just a hot bimbo - OF COURSE he is going to come across better than her, it’s like Brando having a showdown with Pamela Anderson, and this has been his finest performance yet.

What really happened is irrelevant, it has been what he has been able to make the public think happened. It is nearly impossible to find one single person on the entire internet that supports here, and this years on the heels of MeToo. Truly Johnny’s best performance of all time.

He was a big producer on the movie and she worked for him, under him, and he was essentially her boss with the power. My grandfather did the same thing to my grandmother and he ended up with Parkinson’s 30 years later with his new wife cheating on him and then trying to murder him after he found out - she still got half of everything, which was about 7 million and he ended up alone in a rest home. What happened to him was terrible, but it was karmic justice in a way. You can’t run from karma. The fact their relationship was conceived in double infidelity meant it was headed for the floor - ironically, both had their careers ruined but in different ways and paid a hefty price.

My reasoning is that I have not seen any of his 'acting' performance, I have only what the news and people have reported as to their individual behaviours, and I find my sympathy lies with Depp more than Heard.

I agree with everything you said, but there is something to say about Johnny bringing this on himself. He was a married 50 year old man that cheated on and abandoned the mother of his children and his wife for a hotter, younger, 20 year old that was ALSO married. And to make matters worse, he was a powerful man producing a movie that she worked on under his supervision. What he did was a terrible thing to do, and tho he did not deserve the abuse, arriving at such a horrible outcome after doing such a horrible thing is all kind of a karmic lesson.

Pretty much. The whole setup was wrong, obviously a trap and he should have known better. Depp is immature, and I don't know that these last years have taught him anything at all. Vanessa remarried to a handsome French director that's 10 years younger than Depp - she basically upgraded - so good for her. Meanwhile Depp is still wrestling with pigs in the pigpen, still arguing about shit that happened 6+ years ago. It's pathetic.
