News I'm watching the Johnny Depp defamation case

Mr rottenborn

Haha sound like a bad guy from a children comic like duck tales or something like that.

Not really how that usually plays out. For one thing abusers tend to seek out people with self esteem and other emotional problems that are easier to control and manipulate. And they look to isolate victims from their friends and family, or pursue people already living an isolated lifestyle.
Agreed.

Glad to hear justice was served. My mom was abusive to my father and got the house, the kids, the money AND called him the abusive one like Amber inverting reality on Johnny. Her mother in turn was abusive to my grandfather and I think her and her sisters learned that abuse and were abusive to their husbands as well - all my aunts are abusive to their husbands too, like it was a learned love language. I grew up seeing female on male abuse normalized and in turn gravitated to woman that were abusive too. Took me a long time to break the cycle and get in a good relationship. It’s a vicious cycle that often can never end, and many men just accept being abused as part of life and are afraid to admit that they are abused.

I know there are women that are abused, but I just have not seen it in up close first hand in my life. It’s probably also owing to the fact that a husband berating his wife or physically laying hands on her in public looks really, really bad, where as a woman verbally undressing her husband may be seen as tasteless but not as bad. A man that abuses his wife is known as a wife beater - a career ending stigma - but a woman is simply known as a tough bitch, not to be messed with. Sadly, in both cases, abusive people seek sensitive empaths, and it is like a cocktail of gas and fire - all one does is take and hurt and all the other does is give and get gaslighted.
What does verbally undressing mean? Embarassing someone in public?

At Depp was entertaining on the stsnd . It's clear Heard is psycho n Depp is a punching bag.

I'm glad Johnny made this so public... he's a drug addict and a drunk but he's not an abuser.

It's painfully obvious that she was not an "abused women." Abused women don't constantly attack and try to escalate arguments. He was the "victim" in this relationship, which actually says a lot about how loving and empathetic he is... a man who could have 99% of the women on the planet, sticks with a woman that is so awful to him because he loves her.

Glad your cool. If you were my mate i wouldhave stomped the cunt
Sure he got his in prison. I only saw him once after he got out and his front teeth were missing, so I doubt he had an easy time of it. It was a high security prison with lifers and murderers and the like. Can't have been a fun 3 years.

He did get a kicking from our landlord's brothers which looking back on I should have probably enjoyed watching.

Not just that. She threatened to kill herself if he left her knowing that his mother tried to commit suicide when his dad left.
She used to hide I don't remember if it was weed or some other suppressant that stopped him from wanting harder drugs or alcohol. She's absolutely evil.

I wouldn't call him a drug addict or a drunk. I'd call him a celebrity with a bit of a substance abuse problem. Has he ever lost any work due to his drinking or drug taking? For a Hollywood celeb if not that's amateur.

The homeless guy down the street who can't hold down a job due to his addictions is a drug addict.

I agree with everything you said, but there is something to say about Johnny bringing this on himself. He was a married 50 year old man that cheated on and abandoned the mother of his children and his wife for a hotter, younger, 20 year old that was ALSO married. And to make matters worse, he was a powerful man producing a movie that she worked on under his supervision. What he did was a terrible thing to do, and tho he did not deserve the abuse, arriving at such a horrible outcome after doing such a horrible thing is all kind of a karmic lesson.
