so I was chatting with @RR and we just had a quick talk on travels and now he's never been here. That got me thinking.

There's a lot of misconceptions, half truths and yes, kool aid views of India. I'm here and can answer most anything about this place. Culture, politics, military, work culture, business, history, women (or men), sports, food, travelling actually most anything you could think of.

My credentials ? Am a Canadian but my dad sent me here for my schooling when I was a kid. 12 years from kindergarten to high school and then pre-med (no I'm not a doctor, fk that sht). Now I'm back here since the last 3 years because of work. Go back n forth quite a bit.
I'm an avid reader of books, newspapers n magazines in whichever country I happen to be. My family here are highly placed bureaucrats / politicians / policy makers (state level) and one of them was even recently the Home Secretary (national). I have travelled extensively from north to south here. By air, train, bus, car, bike, cycle and even driven a bull cart n a tractor. Stayed in a 1000$ / night hotel (owned by a near family member so didn't pay that rate) to shitty no star hole in the walls. Even spent about a month in total in the local villages.

Consequence of all this is I'm not quite entirely Canadian but definitely not Indian to the core. I think I can see the negatives / positives of both cultures and their views about the other side. My experiences, both here and abroad, put me in as good as place as anybody you'll ever meet to ask about India.

So ask away.

i am indian and let me tell you, being indian is actually a great thing. we have beautiful people and we have ugly people. just like any race. I for 1 am a great person, have great friends, and i take care of every one that is in my life and i am glad to do it, and for that i have people that love me around me. also, indian parents are one of the best parents you can have. sometimes they can be really strict, but they will take care of you no matter what, and they will buy you what ever it is that you need. as long as your not a selfish ****head. Also, we all have great jobs, lots of money and a family that we all love and take care off. suck my dick op suck my dick.

how many people have you seen chitting on the streets?

Have you seen any UFC fighters at the bazaar yet? Have you seen any posters for a Satish Jha fight event? have u seen a guy playing a recorder while a snake dances to the music yet?

You learn the squat poop yet?

Nope. That sounds poor.
All upper class, upper middle class and most middle class have western style shitters.
Almost all upper class homes have toilet paper and almost Japanese style ass - flusher / wipers mix bathrooms.

Not saying I haven't squat dumped as a kid in boarding school but that was 25+ years ago

Is 99 percent of the country an utter trash heap that smells like garlic and curry? and the other one percent giant palaces where the ruling class lives?

is the color of your shit black?

To be young again...

I assume you've seen watched footage, eh? Complete insanity from what I've seen.

Yes. And I've experienced it first hand. While there I asked if there were driving rules and the response was "We have rules, it's just that nobody knows them". lol

You sound rich, TS. I'm sure you are only allowed to date girls from other rich families, but do you ever sneak over to the other side of town and bang poor chicks, just for the lulz?

One actually. A crazy old woman. In the busy market place. Ppl walked around it like it wasn't a thing.
I've seen ppl from the unwashed masses have their kids take a dump on the train tracks at the train stations though.

As for the poster's spoiler : INDIANS are No.1 are at claiming they're No.1.
Sorry, bro. You're parents sound like swell ppl. You and your wife n kids, you guys moved out yet ?

<41>

Have you been bitten by an ant while trying to take a dump in a hole in the dirt yet?

Do you drive in that chaos?

Fk yeah. Like a boss.
Best part is, I don't even have a driver's licence for this place. Any time I get stopped for some obscure reasons, like a jumping a red light (which most everybody else does too) I just break out my Canadian DL, exchange high fives n shoot the shit with them n then fk off.
Sometimes I have to pay 5-10$ as a bribe.
Sometimes.

Fun fact : I once bribed a cop and was on my way in 30 seconds flat.

No to all but the last.

Snake charmers used to be around when I was a kid.
I think nobody gives a fk now so they've disappeared.

EDIT : I meant the snake charmers not the snakes. They're still there and not very charmed anymore, I believe.

Naw.

More like 25% palaces n 40% trash heaps.
The rest is kinda in between.

You get used to it though.

Lol. Crazy shit.

I've watched, in amazement, a few episodes of "Don't Drive Here" (or something like that), and driving in India seemed like lunacy. No thanks.
