By all means, it's safe to assume the fights done for 229.

I just don't know why this picture would lead you to believe that he will be in LA for this press conference.

Hopefully he is.

To be clear, I'm not a huge Conor fan. He is one of my favorites and I really impressed that some skinny manlet from Crumlin who wasn't going to amount to much of a plumber has talked the talk and walked the walk.

So I've been following his return and every sign points to UFC 229 in Las Vegas October 6. The cryptic Instagram posts. His long stay in NY. His lawyer's post.

Today we have a press conference in Los Angeles. What better time to announce Conor's return? I don't believe he's in Dublin, those Instagram posts are throw people off the trail and make a huge surprise today.

I'm betting he shows up at the press conference and they announce the fight.

I think there's a good chance they will announce the fight, and possibly the two SBJ pictures he just uploaded were old, but I'm guessing he won't be there. When has there ever been a Conor press conference where they did not tell all media in advance? Possibly they did tell the media and are trying to surprise the fans but it just seems out of the ordinary for his UFC press conference return. If Conor was returning to the stage today, millions would be tuning in live and it would not be some impromptu in nature. Plus, think about the logistics of having security there for team Conor, Diaz and Khabib? Eeeessshhhhhh.
