Ilia is a pussy. He only wants easy fights for him that generates the most money.
Arman is a high risk low reward situation thats why he is afraid of that fight happening. If he loses, he has much to lose. If he wins, not much to gain.

Yes but also I think it's up to the UFC to matchmake.
They *should* put their foot down: "either fight the #1 contender or we strip you".
But they *never will* if the #1 contender is not marketable or reliable.

I dont know about you but ive been gone from watching UFC for 2 years or so because of life. In those 2 years, I only know bits of pieces of the UFC (Jones beating Gane for the HW belt, Usman getting KO, Jiri getting the LHW title).

Nothing of Ilia. This coming from a casual fan (for these 2/3 years). Now that i know of him, im entertained by his fights but i dont like the person. Guess im an Ilia hater watching his fights to see him lose.

On the contrary, i know of Arman as the elite wrestler that has a debut loss against Islam. Now that he speaks up more, hes grown on me and theres a desire to see him win.

Maybe Ilia has potential to be more marketable. Not a likeable fighter. I guess i just enjoy fighters that rise up to fight whomever (Hooker, Moicano, Movsar, Khamzat etc)

Frankly, neither of them is likeable. The reason ppl shit on Arman (and rightfully so) is because he talked crap about Islam and then suddenly pulled out of their fight citing injury. Some, like Brendan Schaub, have alleged that Tsarukyan faked the injury to avoid the difficult 155lb weight cut. Other conspiracy theories have suggested he was covering up a failed drug test, but these are not supported by any evidence.
Either way, it was a shit show.

Oh, and Arman created another headache for Dana when he struck a fan while walking to the octagon at UFC300. Dana thought the UFC would get sued. I assume the UFC brass hates him too.
