I want Topuria to win, but I don't know how he can handle a much bigger man in Islam.

Crazy take: Ilia knew he likely isn't fighting Islam, but knew a segment of the fanbase hates Islam (for... reasons...) and used the timing of what Islam already decided (if Belal loses he moves up) to promote that Islam's decision (literally advertised for more than a year before he did it) was the result of Ilia rather than what Islam said more than a year prior.

Ilia fighting 0 contenders at LW since the gift-wrapped Charles fight is deflected (and he knows it) by Islam haters clinging all their hope to him. The Dagi-hating-dog-whistle crowd (cue the posters that use "bathtub" and "neanderthal" and "terrorist" and "neckbeard" frequently) know they have no one else to cling to as those fairweather scumbags already tossed JDM into a ditch for losing 1 fight in his last 19 lol.
