I expext that to be the next LW Championship fight.

If they strip Islam before Jon Jones, the sport has lost its last shred of credibility.

When I look him up, he seems to be associated with Charles Oliveira's Chute Box gym.

So I suspect what happened here was the UFC is making contingency plans, and asked Oliveira if he would be available to fight Topuria @ UFC 317. They probably did mention that Islam Makhachev *might* vacate the title if he moves up to 170 pounds, but that depends on JDM defeating Belal @ UFC 315.

Then this guy broke confidence and twisted the story saying Topuria is fighting for the title no matter what. But if Belal wins and Islam doesn't fight @ UFC 317, then no one is fighting for the lightweight title at that event.
