I totally agree, I usually hate turnbased RPGs, that's one of three I've played through. Didn't know about the source being lost, but most likely they'd have little to no use for it when making a remake anyway. They've done a remake of the first game on the Switch (and earlier on the PS2)... would be great to see Zwei and Saga come out later.

I'd lean toward redoing one of the ARPGs I played as a kid like Summoner or Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and updating the combat mechanics.
I think Summoner would be my number one, but the Snowblind ARPGs and KOTOR aren't far behind.

Wouldn't make it more flight sim like, hell I wouldn't even change the controls, I'd just love to play this game at 60fps with full modern graphics, it was the perfect blend of flight sim and fun. Campaign was great. Flying with your squadron and seeing your fellow pilots surviving missions with you and seeing them go down in flames then seeing their names scratched off the flight list was heartbreaking.

I'm still waiting for a game to comes out that takes advantage of today's technological advancements that offers as great a gameplay experience as Mechwarrior II.

A wrestling/mma game with the N64 THQ/AKI engine. The Roster would include Pro Wrestling and MMA Legends.

SoulCalibur 3 with better balance (the arcade version is much better in this regard), modern day graphics, SC5/6-era Creation Suite, and a great online system would be amazing
Would like to see modern versions of Star Wars Rouge Squadron and Star Wars Racer from the N64 too
Some games like Saints Row 1&2, Morrowind, Oblivion, could use a graphics facelift but otherwise don't need a remake, just a remaster (though I wouldn't mind a SR1 remake tbh). Same with Diablo II, it just needs a remaster, there doesn't really need to be anything else added.

Damn, 3 back to back posts with all of my top choices.
Only one else I would say is Castlvania SOTN, in the same style, just updated to be less pixilated and make the later bosses harder.

KOTOR because I never got around to playing it. I always try to talk myself into grabbing it during sales because it's like a buck, but it's in a chunk of games that have aged really poorly in terms of visuals. I just can't bring myself to try it.

With this, I like to think they should keep the original voices. The voice acting was great. The rest just needs to be updated. The music remastered but kept the same would work as well, as the soundtracks were one of my favorites.
