I know you are not quite "generation Z" but you are much closer to Z than to millennials.

I born in 1986 and to be honest at this point I feel very disconnected from this new generation; I actually have no idea what's going on. I have a few questions.

1. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) "liberal" than millennials?
2. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) "lazy" than millennials?
3. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) creative than millennials?
4. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) practical/pragmatic than millennials?
5. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) materialistic than millennials?
6. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) ambitious than millennials?
7. Overall do you think your gen is more (or less) religious than millennials?
8. Overall do you think your gen women has more dominance/power over men than a millennial women?
9. Why a lot of your gen women seem to have big lips/eyebrows; do you find this sexy?
10. Finally, do you tend to agree more (or less) with people from the millennial gen than people from the X gen (people older than 36)?

Born in 1994:
1. We're more liberal, which has its share of good and bad.

2. Equally lazy. It's just that we have to be in college for the most part until 22-25, while past generations could make a good living out without college.

3. Equally creative probably

4. Less practical. We are stuck in school for longer, which I believe trains people to be less practical.

5. More materialistic

6. Equally ambitious. I'd say more actually our females are able to strive for greater heights.

7. Way less religious, which I love.

8. Our women have more dominance over men than previous women did. I wouldn't want that in my relationships, but if a man doesn't mind a dominating women, then more power to him.

9. No clue why lol. Maybe makeup? And no, I prefer natural beauty. I actually don't let my fiancé use makeup because I love how she looks without it.

10. I agree with both equally. Depends on the topic.

Good questions.

OP, how are you defining millennial generation?

Because you, and those born between 94 and 2000, are in the millennial generations.

In October 2004, researchers Neil Howe and William Strauss called Millennials "the next great generation," which is funny. They define the group as "as those born in 1982 and approximately the 20 years thereafter." In 2012, they affixed the end point as 2004.

It really ends mid to late 90s though. The kids who remember 9/11 are millennials (or you could say those who remember the actual millennium) most born post 96 don’t really have much memory of it (or even less the 90s, which is kind of a critical decade to the minds of a millennial/gen y). Which is why the TS is saying they are more like gen z’s Aka igens (kids who grew up with the internet and iPods/phones).

According to the US census, they only track one generation, and that's baby boomers. Everything else is "defined" by social scientists. It makes it hard to survey when you can have radically different definitions, and I'd argue that 20 years is too much time for one generation anyway. People who were born in 1998 are going to have an entirely different childhood experience than someone born in 2018, yet some might group them together.

Also, to those of you born in this era...fuck you. I’ve never met a bunch of entitled pricks in my life. Until the next generation enters the work force, I’m guessing.

I think this new generation is more conservative they voted for trump and started the Alt right these groups didn't exist even in the early 2000's.

I was born in 1982 but I don’t identify as a millennial.

yeah I agree, most people that born between 1980 and 1983 do not really think as a millennial, but not quite as conservative gen X neither. They are pretty stable and right in the middle (no extremes)
