I wouldn’t exactly call a scrum or line out a break for forwards though. There’s the short walk to the scrum or line out but again it’s nothing like stopping between plays in football which is what I was getting at, and I’m sure you’re not trying to prove that point.I do. But it's also not true to say you are running for 80 mins. You're not.
And trust me sometimes the short break you get is much needed
Lesnar, Shivers and Westbrook too.You should probably throw a photo of Herschel Walker in there as well...
You do not see many Pacific Islanders in the NBA, because the sport of Basketball is not big to us on the islands currently.. Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, Guam. It is just now getting bigger on the Phillipines. Australians and New Zealanders are considered Polynesian too, and in those two countries, professional Basketball players are represented in the NBA, past and present. While American Football is huge to the youth on the islands of Hawaii, Tonga and Samoa. And American Football catching on with youth sports in Guam and the Phillipines.Yes, but it also heavily emphasizes raw size and strength due to the pauses in the action, allowing for a totally different cardio footprint and athletic model (ie, there few if any Pacific Islanders in the NBA whereas there are fucktons in the NFL due to their body types and genetics)
The A level genetics that will dominate MMA is when high level NBA-type blacks start getting into it as full natives. who somehow wandered into a bad-neighborhood gym at age 11, are 'saved from the streets due to MMA" and grow to 6'7, 245. When the UFC finally gets a Lebron, it will make Jon Jones look quaint.
I ran a 4.28 in juco.. went pro in mma years later at the age of 35 in 2013, just for fun and the experience to say I tried it, still teach boxing and wrestling today, and was far from any type of champion.Because an athlete that can run a Chris Johnson like 4.2 40 would only need a class of grappling to be champion...
And they do it for a prolonged period of time. Ever ran liners or end zone to end zone sprints over a prolonged period of time? Got tired quick huh? They run for five seconds then take a break. A level cardio.
Bolt is said to have a faster last 70 meters, then his first 30. If you watch him, it's obvious that he is usually the last out the blocks but his sprint is in full stride by the 30-40 meter mark. Bolt has only run a best of 4.1 in the 40 when timed for the 40 (but during his world record time for the 100, it would have had him at a 3.9 40 I believe is what I read). Darrel Green, Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders all ran 4.1 in the 40 when they were in the NFL, and all three ran track in HS plus college, yet none could think of competing with Bolt in the 100 or 200.Usain Bolt.
Also, Ronaldo and Messi were timed as quicker over the first 30 yards than Bolt, and that's with a ball and no starting blocks. Don't know how accurate those measurements were though.
What you said appeared to stem from the mind of a dribbling simpleton.
“The US has an elaborate multibillion dollar system to pick kids at a young age to be guaranteed educations and possible careers based off this.”
Do you know what has a far more elaborate, far wealthier system in place that picks kids at a significantly younger age? Real football.
But real football fans (the billions of them) don’t drone on endlessly about how they would do in other sports, despite the fact that if you extend the usual retarded American logic of “A-level athletes chase the money in the NFL/NBA rather than fighting for a living” to its natural conclusion, then they should in fact all be playing real football if they’re so ‘A-level’. The reality is they wouldn’t last a second in most sports not confined to one country best know for high rates of obesity.
“Its no mystery that the best fighter in the world is the runt from an NFL family”
There is no such thing as an NFL family. I’m not sure what it is you think I need to refute beyond clarifying that singular point. Jones would likely beat the shit out of his brothers at the same time. If they’re better at tossing a ball around a field, under a very defined, specific and limited ruleset, then fair play to them. That might well be their thing. Fighting ain’t.
And instant by my original comment, son. It probably ain’t for you either.
LOL!
If NFL players are so tough, then why doesn't one of the current popular NFL players challenge Ngannou to a UFC fight? I mean Dana White would surely jump at the opportunity for such a money-making event
Americans simply dont play "real" football. If they did the paradigm would be no different, the best athletes would gravitate to where the money is, not a sport like mma that pays relatively nothing for the risk
There is of course such thing as an NFL families (ie. the Mannings, The Paytons, The Ryans) that produce elite athletes that are able to play in the NFL
Of course Jones might be able to beat up his brothers "might" at this point (even though he says he still cant beat Arthur.) Hes spent over a decade fighting professionally.
However if either of his brothers chose to go into MMA instead of going to good Universities to play football instead of wrestling (as Arthur had the opportunity) further the NFL for millions and retirement, they would dominate as Jones has. And as Jones as stated, they could still dominate after their NFL careers if they chose.
Its apparent you dont know what athleticism is, yet alone elite athleticism nor how it pertains to fighting or any physical endevour
Foremost you dont understand the level of athletes the US produces. There is a reason 4/6 UFC champs are from the US and the US dominates the Olympics.
Thats understandable if you dont do any physical activity, however if you dont understand, take it from a UFC champion and future HOF

Tyson Fury has accepted a fight with Stipe, but Dana White hasn't "jumped" on it.
Many NFL players make more money than Ngannou, so there's no reason for them to ask for a fight. It's the other way around. Dana White has to beg NFL players to fight for $500,000.
DC is an athletic specimen his resume stands on its own, no need to exaggerate or mislead. Sure he lost only lost 10 wrestling matches at the collegiate level, but he would have lost a lot more if he would have competed at OK State in his freshman and sophomore years. LSU football went 57-58-1 in the 90's (which was around the time DC would've been in high school and college), they actually were nowhere near a top 10 program at the time DC would have received that offer. You tried to sound smart and failed.
If I gave you three years of training, all day every day, you get crushed by the worst cans in UFC and you know it. As would the vast majority of people out there.
lol. DC lost 10 college matches. Also, from his wiki.
"In high school at Northside High, Cormier won 3 Louisiana state championships in wrestling. After 9th grade Cormier only lost twice, both times by injury default. His final high school record was 101-9, with 89 of his victories coming by a fall. He was twice voted the most outstanding wrestler of the state tournament. In 1995, Cormier won a bronze medal in the world championships in Greco-Roman Wrestling cadet (15–16 years old) division. He was also an all-state football player at high school in the linebacker position, and had a personal best time of 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash. Cormier was offered a scholarship to play football at LSU, but declined in order to continue to pursue wrestling."
Had an awful to play football at LSU. Literally, one of the top 10 programs in the country. LOL. Yep, just years of practice. Not a special athlete at all.
LOL.
Keep training, kiddo.
This makes no sense whatsoever. You’ve literally contradicted yourself in your own post.
Tyson Fury who earns more than anyone in the UFC heavyweight division asks to fight Stipe, as you yourself state.
You then go on to ask why anyone in the NFL should fight a UFC heavyweight when they already make more money.
Well Tyson Fury did.....
How did Greg Hardy do so well with lifelong exercise induced asthma?
Tyson Fury was recently paid millions by the WWE to wrestle in Saudi Arabia.

This is about a boxing match. Tyson Fury would not have to train for mma. Dana White didn't "jump" to this.
Financial terms have not been discussed. I'm sure Tyson Fury would want to get 50% or more of the pay per view cut.
This is not a contradiction because NFL players are not challenging Ngannou to an mma fight for $500,000.

I’m not even going to entertain making a dignified response to that mess.
Your very first sentence is factually incorrect.
More people in the US play real football than American Fatball. With these higher participation rates, why don’t the US dominate football? Because it’s a global sport. It’s easy to look successful at something when you’re the only one actually doing it. If American Fatball ever actually took off globally in the same manner real football has, it stands to reason that the spread of successful nations would be similarly broad.
The very fact that you don’t see the inherent bias in asking Jones questions about his own brothers, and actually question wether he could beat them in a fight tells me two things:
1. You’re retarded with a poor grasp on source verification.
2. You’ve never fought in any competitive environment in your life.
You have and insular, inward looking approach to things, and it will hold you back in life unless you can shake it.
Because Ngannou would absolutely decimate anyone in the NFL roster because, you know

"Arthur Jones, a sixth-year NFL defensive tackle with the Indianapolis Colts, says he never lost a fight to Jon or baby brother Chandler, who also plays in the NFL, and says he beat Jon so much growing up that he has "big brother syndrome.""
