Leon currently 4th in the P4P rankings.
The top 3 are:
1. Islam
2. Poatan
3. Jon Jones

What’s the difference? Do they get paid more if they are ranked higher on this list?
Im conviced that if you're managed by Ali you'll have a better chance of being p4p no 1.No probably not, but he should already be higher than he is.
Islam got his #1 spot by beating the P4P #1 in Volk.
But the only reason Volk was in that spot was because Leon KOed the previous #1 in Usman.
Leon beats the top guy and gets 4th. Islam then beats the new top guy and replaces him at the top.

Fair points!Probably won't. It'll be the winningest challenger in his division, so it should amount to something, but it'll be his first defense over an actual challenger too.
People hang on too much to the legacy of Jones rather than the recency that a current ranking system should have. Poatan and Islam seemed to bypass Jones only because of beating champs from multiple divisions
Probably not but it might be something a P4P fighter brings up at the negotiation table. What’s the difference? Do they get paid more if they are ranked higher on this list?
Maybe, but their P4P rankings have always had this bias of 'the win is the win and that's it,' and champs automatically get vaulted to the top on bonus points, even usually over the best non-champ in a better division. So even with a competitive bout, they'd be (excuse the pun) championing his 2nd divisional title regardless, and add it to the legacy of his first. On paper, it's pretty hard to beat, if a bit pick-and-choosy with their logic.Fair points!
Do you believe that this'd be the case if his bout with Gane had been anything in the realm of competitive?

"Here's a very recent accomplishment without a lot of depth and substance, and if we just combine it with this pretty old thing filled with depth and substance, then all things are even!"
