If Jones / Tom play it right they have some massive leverage right now over the UFC (Francis waiting in the wings)

Tom has stated he won't fight again unless it's for the HW Belt. Jones says he won't fight Tom. Dana has said Jone's next fight will have to be vs Tom or nobody.

Here's the kicker, UFC won't release Jones if he refuses to fight and they can't just keep offering Tom. Both fighters will make a massive amount more $$$ if the UFC was to release them as there's the Francis fighter in the wing and i'm sure the UFC don't want to be giving another ORG the biggest possible MMA fight.

Granted i think Jones is scared to fight Francis but I also feel it's possible he can get convinced with the money that comes with that super fight. UFC caused this mess and i'm all for it lol

If it wasn't for the Francis superfight out there the UFC will have more pull as they could tell them we will release you knowing there wasn't a bigger fight out there for either.

It really matters how this fight goes if Jones has any leverage.

We all know Dana could betray him in favor of Tom and completley devalue the guy so he'll accept pennies on the dollar, or just fuck off utterly.

Jon signed a multi-fight deal a couple years ago. UFC isn't going to release him and let him go to PFL. They aren't that stupid.

He did but they also can't force a fight as far as i know, so if he refuses a fight they need to offer him another fight... hence he can avoid Tom and UFC can't release him (Dana saying Jones next fight has to be vs Tom isn't in fact true)

Jon is talking about vacating the HW title and fighting Alex Pereira then retiring. UFC has Jon's future under contract six ways from Sunday no matter how things play out.

But will he though after going in so deep with he is the GOAT, current P4P guy and you are all fucking crazy ect... I know he lies and flips his story on the daily but he went in too deep on Jones to be able to flip that.

If he dont take it, they can strip him.

Dana is a promoter.

He already went from Jones is the best thing to ever happen to Jones MUST fight Tom if he wants to keep his title.

He just needed to get the butts in the seats at MSG.

Yes but the point your missing is Dana said his next fight will be against Tom or nobody recently. The point i'm making is this isn't true as they won't release him if he refuses to fight Tom. That is the leverage i speak of.

They dont need to release him, but if they strip him, he dont got that much leverage anymore.

You miss the point again, in regards to forcing him to fight Tom they have zero leverage and he will drop the belt.

Jones contract currently makes him the highest paid HW fighter and makes around 11 + million a fight. He is estimated to be making 15 million for Stipe.

Jones making pennies is something I do not see, even if he loses. He is making more money then some small countries. Aspinall makes no where near that, and neither do I, as I would love those pennies. Also Dana is not dumb enough to give him away to PFL to join Ngannou.

I actually would love to see what Dana does if jones takes his challenge and tells him to fuck off and cut him. Would he cut jon jones like he did Ngannou. But the UFC has been good to Jones recently, and i feel he was trolling, and if he wins or loses takes the fight. This what good relationships are for in prize fighting, it makes sure that your fighter knows you had his back.
