Not the legitimate number 1 contender but if he highlight reel KO's Belfort in spectacular fashion then he could sneak into a titleshot as an injury replacement.

Its not like his losses to Machida and Rashad were blowouts, he just lost decisions in both lackluster fights. If the stars align he could get it... I mean hell both Chael/Vitor got LHW title shots recently for doing fuck-all in the division.
