IF GSP comes back at UFC 200, who gets the main event slot?

Which one would be main event?

Don't be annoyed. It was the rule. The rule was the heavier weight title fight got the main event.

McGregor changed that.
But now he lost so not sure if the old rule comes back or not.
It was a stupid rule. The main event should go to the more hyped fight and the bigger draw. Do you seriously think Weidman vs Rockhold should have got the main slot over Aldo/McGregor?

gsp off any main card is a win/win for everybody, perhaps the main event of the prelims will suffice.

main carders are reserved for exciting fighters only.

Not a chance.

GSP coming back for his WW title >>> McGregor going back down to FW to defend his AINEC.
Doesn't matter what way you put it McGregor is the highest selling ppv star in the UFC and he will headline if he's fit to fight.

I think the card should end with a bang, not a boring decision.

GSP. His return would be insane.

Nice guys don't always finish last.

It annoys me that you think that higher weight classes should automatically get the main event. Do you think if it was Lawler vs GSP and Werdum vs Velasquez that the heavyweight fight should get main event?

And McGregor has done much more in MMA than Brock Lesnar ever did. So if Lesnar could headline UFC 100 then McGregor can headling UFC 200.
Okay, so just to make myself clear - I'm not saying I necessarily agree with the rule that the higher weight class should get the main event. What my point was, is that is the UFC's rule, and it annoys me that they make these rules, only to contradict them when it suits "business". Things like this are the reason why you get so many complaints from people around the UFC's authenticity and how they come off. It's their rule, don't just start changing it for ole' boy because he's the cashcow.

Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir is completely not comparable, because Brock was the HW champ of the world, and him and Frank Mir had one of the biggest fueds in MMA history - that completely made sense to have as a main event. If you also put that longside the fact that GSP vs Alves back at UFC 100 was CLEARLY not as big of a fight, so it isn't quite transferable as an example here. Lawler vs GSP (to me) is arguably just as big as Conor vs Frankie. Don't just squeeze Conor in there "out of principal" and continue this "golden-boy" attitude. Put the deserving fight at the main event spot!

Of course, this is still all speculation and GSP may never return lol.

GSP should because we've seen enough of Conor recently.. There's more of an appetite for the unknown with gsp.

I agree it was stupid but it was the rule so people pointing to that shouldn't annoy you. Instead just convince them that it's a rule that should be changed premenantly.

It clearly has been changed. So why would it annoy someone if a stupid rule was changed? He was arguing that the rule should not have been changed.

Is this a joke? Obviously GSP. He is one of the GOATs in this sport and everything he does is head and shoulders more important that mcbitch's entire life.

Tough one.

The hardcore fans would want GSP of course, but to get those PPV number they may have to put McGregor on the headline.

Wouldn't be the first time the company put cash over merit.
