See, if UFC 200 wasn't Conor's next fight, I'd be very interested to see the PPV numbers he does. They'd always be high, but I think they'd be lower than you'd expect after him losing like that. Some people will 100% disagree with me, but I honestly don't think people understand how many fair-weather fans will ignore MMA now that he lost.
UFC 200 will do mega-numbers no matter what, but I think it's only fair for Lawler vs St. Pierre to be the main event. It wouldn't be, because Dana seems to think that people only want to see Conor, which is fine, but it just takes away from the legitimacy of their "sport".
Robbie Lawler has done more in MMA than Conor in terms of resume, Georges has done much, much more in MMA than Conor. Georges is a returning all-time great, who never lost his belt - how can that not be the main event!?
But... we all know the Conor fanboydom would continue, and they'd ignore their "high weight-class gets Main Event rule" and they'd squeeze him in.
It annoys me, but I shouldn't let it.
