...That time is now.

NO WAY his mind is focused 100% on this fight with all the legal crap, and spending 72 hours in the pokey, a mere 3 weeks before a championship fight.

I would never have bet against Jones before, but if odds are ridiculous leading up to this fight, I will actually drop money on DC.

Jones has a year layoff, all sorts of legal mishaps / distractions, and even a small break in training while being in jail, less than a month before his fight with a VERY formidable opponent.

If Jon comes in slightly 'off' and Cormier is on point, Daniel beats him - maybe via TKO stoppage.

Jail hardens men. I've been there. I felt like I could kill 30 men with my hands alone when I walked out.

Relax he didn't serve hard time in prison. He spent a night in jail talking with his lawyers...

Maybe. Id say he's well used to the legal shennanigans what with his track record but as rashad florian said recently - "cage rust is real"!

So long as Jones gets those checks that make his haters cry. What people really want is for him to go broke and end up on skid row. It may very well happen, but it wont be today. Of all the demons Jones may have, I dont think losing to DC will drive him over the edge.

Meh.

I am more curious to see how he handles packing on all that muscle. Everybody acts like UberJones is gods gift to mma but getting that much bigger in a short time span hardly ever works out in combat sports.

With all what legal crap? 2 days in a jail cell for something that's already been resolved?

I think he'll be the same as always come fight time.

when he's sleeping he's very beatable.

I went for 3 days for DUI when I was younger but I did not feel like killing 30 men with my bare hands I was to busy kissing the ground

He's a millionaire who did a night in jail. This should have no impact on his ability to train or fight. He can get past this. His real problem is that dc is a monster and I believe one of the the absolute best fighters in the world. I could have seen dc being Hw champ had he stayed there.

Ask Kobe. I believe he said during his rape case the only place he felt incredibly normal and at ease was on the basketball court.

I think sports stars feel most at home on the court, in the cage, on the field. I don't think this will affect Jon Jones in the least. In fact, it may give him even more fire!

I bet Jones was doing body weight drills and anything he could for 72hrs straight in that cell.

I think it might be more difficult to beat Jones now, more than ever.

Lots of questions, and completely different dynamics, this time. Yup, he could be ripe for the pickin. Or he could be an unholy terror.

I still haven't made my final pick.

You are out of control since yesterday boy. Go and do your homework and then comeback here with your funny stuff, and remember, sherdog is here to waste your free time....don't ever forget that, EVER!!

You've been to the drunk tank, not prison homie.

I agree with what you are saying, but I still think he is too skilled and fast for Cormier. He will still win, but this makes his chances less with all the problems he is facing with the police. but he will probably still beat Cormier.
