A human sized ant would probably die immediately from its body being incapable of bearing the weight and/or processing oxygen for that much mass.

I think Jon could stand there and watch it die.

they would have gotten smoked by that Bob Sapp. Nobody knew wtf Bob Sapp was going to do, nobody knew what he was on, and he was clearly strong AF.

Hoost got smoked a few times by Sapp but it is just a testament to how the sport evolved. Once people knew Sapp's game plan, he became the joke he is today

jones is undefeated and has fought way better competition. dj lost his belt flyweight and lost multiple times at bantamweight (Cruz, McCall, Picket). Dom Cruz 50-45'd him. I can't imagine jones ever getting dominated like that by any HW.

If Mighty Mouse was as big as Jones he wouldnt move the same, keep the same pace and cardio. The reason why the smaller fighters are more skilled is because they can do more because they have a smaller frame and height and weight. They also dont have to worry as much about getting knocked out. Still happens but it will never be the same. Its really impossible to compare between divisions especially that far apart.

My favorite Kickboxers are Buakaw (155) and Remy (HW) so I'm indeed a big fan of lightweight too. Especially K1 Max.

But these mental mastrubation tactics lighter fans use to pretend they are vicariously better then big guys are fake.

And yes I'm also biased cause I'm large. Well not that tall but heavy.

I'm not small. I'm 6'1 and 240 lbs. I've trained a lot of judo, wrestling, and BJJ, and a small amount of muay thai. My experience has always been that the smaller guys are more often than not more skilled than the bigger guys - yet the big guys still beat them because they are bigger and stronger.

Heavyweights are able to get by on knockout power, or by manhandling others who are smaller than them. This leads them to develop less actual technique than those who do not possess that same ability. Take a guy like Derrick Lewis, or Francis Ngannou - both are guys who don't have any sort of amazing technique in their striking, nor do they possess great grappling skills. But due to sheer physicality and power, they can climb to the top of the heavyweight division. The higher weight classes quite clearly have more one-dimensional fighters than the lower divisions, and that's because when you're big, you can get by on physical attributes more easily (i.e. insane knockout power). If a guy like Islam Makachev, Alexander Volkanovski, or even Sean O'Malley possessed the same physical attributes as Ngannou or Lewis, they would utterly outclass and brutalise them. Those smaller fighters are infinitely more skilled than the top heavyweight fighters in MMA. I think you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

What about a Liger?
 
There are far less light heavyweight/heavyweight sized people in the world than there are flyweight to lightweight sized people, so it's always going to be a smaller talent pool. The guys who rise to the top of the sport in the lighter divisions are insanely talented individuals. Jones isn't even the best athlete in his own family.

It’d basically be like expecting Ngannou’s joints to be able to withstand the same intensity of workouts.
Bigger organs, lungs, heart, etc… all having to support a body at least twice DJ’s size.

Prime Romero is probably the best example; but that’s a different debate.

This is obviously just not true.... the fastest runners in the world are all under 210 lbs... and most are under 180... the best jumpers are like 6 ft 2 190 lbs...

There is no such thing as a 250 lb guy that is as athletic as the 190 lb guys... the freaks like Rob Gronkowski and JJ Watt aren't even close to as fast or athletic as the smaller guys they are huge though and almost close to as athletic so they perform so well...

Those guys are probably the most freakish big guys of all time... and they aren't half the athletes of the smaller guys... dont be dumb

One can train his skills to the limit, but that wont make him taller
Thread is about 'what if he was taller' which is simply not a variable. Im too pragmatic for these
